Re: 2019-2020 Wild Season
Need to do something. Stalock is not a 60 game a year NHL caliber goalie from what I’ve seen. Felt like he fit the 2nd goalie role well. Must have some other plan.

Re: 2019-2020 Wild Season
I think it will depend on who Guerin brings in. If he gets a true #1 caliber goalie, then Stalock stays and Kahkonen goes to Iowa. If he grabs a quality back up type, then I think Kahkonen stays and splits time while Stalock goes to IowaBeauner wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07 11:17 pmI assume that means Guerin has something in the works that he is confident about for another goalie. I doubt he wants to go into next season with Stalock and Kahkonen as the only two goalies with decent experience as a pro.frozen4champs wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07 6:53 pmI thought the Wild really liked Robson, but they did not tender him.
Assuming he signs or trades for a goalie with a year or two left, then runs with Kahkonen and Jones in Iowa?

Re: 2019-2020 Wild Season
Seems like Guerin is really setting up the expansion draft as, “pick one of our available players and we are done.”
If the Wild protect 8 Skaters as of now. Parise, Zucc, and Fiala then E Ek or Greenway...
D - Soucy would be the available.
By trading Kunin and Donato he acquired draft Capital and now doesn’t have to worry about lossing either player for nothing.
In Kunin’s case the trade actually makes the Wild better in the immediate future as Bonino fills a void here and is more productive than Kunin right this second. Long term it will come down to what happens with Khusnutdinov.

They don’t have a choice. Any NMC in contract makes you protect that player.

Got it. Until they get rid of that contract they're not going anywhere.

That's not what I was expecting and I'm a bit skeptical. Hope he stays healthy.

Yeah, I was pretty far off. However, I'd be willing to bet he took a big discount to go somewhere that has a good chance at a cup. He has one chance to do this thing, probably took whatever he could get from a true contender. I'd venture a guess he was offered more by some bubble teams, but its just a guess.

He was bought out so he should get additional salary from NYRfightclub30 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09 2:36 pmYeah, I was pretty far off.
