I would love for us to play Bama. The young energetic up and coming coach vs the stone cold vet. Itd put a lot of recruits on notice too

Playing 7-5 Tennessee feels underwhelming and we'd be expected to win.

I don’t care what their record is. Playing Alabama is a measuring stick and could be real interesting.
I'm all for the measuring stick unless it turns on us and we get a beat down that easily could happen...I'd see us as at least 15-20 pt dogs...careful what we wish for...i'd also hate to see this season ruined by the last 2 games of the year being quite one-sided, momentum only lasts until it doesn't

Ummm next years schedule is not so friendly...we will have basically a brand new defense...yikes...luckily basically the entire offense returns...we may have to outscore teams to win games...

Vs FAU (kiffen bowl team and no slouch)
Vs tenn Tech (scrimmage)
Vs Iowa
Vs BYU (always a good team)
At Maryland
At Wisconsin
Vs Michigan
At Illinois
At Michigan st
Vs Purdue
Vs northwestern
At Nebraska

Yikes, 4 at home to start then 4 out of 5 BIG road games...crossovers with ugly helmets, mich st and the crab cakes

I'd say 7-5 at minimum, 9-3 top end. I can live with that. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise us again and win 11 games.

That 4 out of 5 on the road in the middle with the ugly helmets as the home game is a meat grinder

As "easy" as this year's was is how tough next year's is...

Michigan State is going to be bad again so that isn't a worry. Michigan and PSU are comparable. Maryland stinks and will again add all. We will go 4-1 down the stretch.

I'm sorry but I don't think FAU will be that good.

8 wins is my early guess worth 10 as a ceiling.

Over/Under is 8.5 for me. I think we have a clean shot at 6-1 at home. Then it’s about the road games.

To me they'd have to go 2-1 vs Iowa/BYU/ugly's to go 6-1 at home...tough

I'm not scared of no toilet rolls!!

Very nice to see the 5 All Big Ten selections on offense. If Morgan was 2nd I'd hate to see the stats of the guy that was 1st. :)

Also while the D does lose some meat (especially of Winfield leaves which is likely) they still have a very good core and depth.

I expect them to reload.
Currently under construction.

Justin fields numbers are crazy to see

37 TD and 1 INT with around 2600 yards plus another 10 TDs rushing.

I'm not real concerned about BYU at home at the moment. Iowa and Michigan will be tough but IIRC Shae Patterson is a Senior and Harbaugh hasn't really shown a real great ability to recruit high end QBs there (or at least get them to perform like high end QBs) so we'll see how their offense looks. I'm pretty sure Donovan Peoples-Jones will be gone too so they're losing two of their best offensive players. Will be interesting to see how they replace them.

My take is, at home, we can beat Iowa and/or Michigan. I think we’re 1-1 in those games at worst. And we should be able to win the rest. 3 non-conference, NU, and Purdue.

Are they the same people who are mad that “geriatrics” are at the game, or mad that people were standing? Lol

I honestly can't blame people for being upset about the standing. If I paid $150 for my seat and wasn't able to stand for hours, I would be upset too.

I had a kid in the seat behind me. He stood on the seat for the game and I made sure to sit on the backrest of my seat as much as possible so he could watch the game too.

Just looked through some commits for next year. Got some defensive end from Germany. When the hell did Germany start high school football?!

Any scuttlebutt on the condition of Daniel Faalele?

Also does anybody know much about Redshirt Freshman Mayan Ahanotu? He is the son of former Tampa Bay Bucs defensive end Chidi Ahanotu.

If he develops into the kind of player his Dad was that could be a very good thing. :good2:

People were speculating much worse...while it sucks for the Bowl Game in reality it is not something to be concerned abotu going forward. If he was developing knee issues already THAT would be really bad.

Better that than a high ankle sprain. When a broken leg heals it is usually stronger and won't nag you for years.

Alabama researchers have developed that Tightrope surgery which may help ankle sprains from constantly nagging in the long run. In years past the broken ankle was much better.

For how many weeks?

I am trying to figure out why a child pays $700 less than an adult. What about this package make the adult price so much more?

If you book Delta and through the Marriott websites you pay $1800 + transportation. That’s a $1200 savings for 2 people but you miss out on the booze cruise and riding busses around town.

Holy $h!t. That price would be more realistic if it were the total for 2 people.

Same thing happened when we went to Tampa for the Frozen Four if your remember. Hence the long drives we made ;)

There are ways to cut the price significantly which I already found.

No way it’s an hour fromMCO to Tampa on I-4. More like 2 with all the traffic and disabled cars on the side of the road.

I flew Sun Country to Vegas in October and had 0 issues with them. I was panicking because I was putting about 1700 bucks worth of softball gear in one of my checked bags (including the price of the bag) but the bag came out pristine 😁

They are a step above spirit, nickel and dime you for things. If you want food and beverage for the flight, buy it before hand and bring it on. I think they charge a good chunk for checked luggage, so if you can do carry on, do that. I've had solid experiences with them though, just dont like being charged for a can of soda on a plane

I just looked on Sun Country and it sadly isnt that much cheaper than say Delta is.

I am really trying to make this work...but with having a trip to Vegas from the 23-26 and then Mexico on the 5th my time is kind of limited. As such that makes price shopping a bit harder. It would be easier if my gf didnt say she was coming as well ;)

Flying into Orlando on 12/31, renting a car, and driving over to Tampa. Will drive back to Orlando on 1/2 and fly out of Orlando in the AM on 1/3.
Everything was cheaper this way. Flights were $100 cheaper, hotel the last night near MCO was cheaper than a 3rd night in Tampa, rental car out of MCO was cheaper than out of TPA.

Flights to Tampa required layovers (unless we wanted to pay $750+ for direct), and even with driving to/from Orlando, we're saving time.

Excited to be going to my first bowl game! Let's do this (I have a lot of Auburn fan friends, could really use the win here).

I have the money for it...just dont know if I can justify 3 trips in 2 weeks ;)

With the recruiting deadline getting moved up to mid-December that is basically committing career suicide.

Early signing day is killing the football post season. Between players not playing to "protect from injury", coaches not coaching with their old teams to salvage a recruiting class... yuck.

I can't blame a potential high draft pick player for protecting their earning potential, but nothing screams of "me before team" more than this trend.

Yeah but the early signing period saves lesser know teams from having their squads poached by the helmet schools after bowl season and the draft. I will take this over the old way every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I wouldn't necessarily call coaches not coaching their teams in bowl games a recent "trend", it goes back at least 34 years (let's not forget, Lou Holtz didn't coach Minnesota in the Independence Bowl after the 1985 season).

Gopher redshirt Freshman CJ Smith has entered the transfer portal and is the 3rd Gopher to do so this year. Apparently CJ is the 6th player from his recruiting class to do so over the past 2 years.
