No. Just an example. That said, and I say it again. Dumba and draft picks are the only assets that other teams would value. I would trade Dumba in a heartbeat if the right deal came along.

I don't like hearing that from Zucker.
You don't like that it had to be said, that it was him saying it, or that it was said at all? Let's face this team needed a swift kick in the ass.

No reason to say that in public on the record. None.

I couldn't disagree more. He didn't throw anyone under the bus even if he named the coach. Anyone that pays attention and has seen even 5 minutes of this team play this year agrees with Zucker and he didn't say anything that outrageous. They need to get their s**t together and if they can't/won't they deserve to be called out by anyone and everyone.

Fair enough. We can agree to disagree. I don't disagree with your premise. Just the execution.

Kid can put the puck in the net. Great release and puts himself in great position to score. Good hands and playmaking skills as well.
Boldy will be a good player but Caufield could score 40 in the NHL if he can stay healthy.

Time will tell, and I’m hoping Boldy turns out to be stud. But I agree with GS...Caufield has the higher ceiling to be a big time goal scorer, Boldy was the safer pick due to his size.

Boldy also has the prospect of playing Center which is what he is playing at BC right now. Not sure how that can be lost on fans when we have two aging Centers.

The C thing, that’s not lost on all fans. But what’s also not lost on 99.9% of Wild fans is they desperately need a goal scorer...irregardless of position. And currently, they have no one, except the Russian, in the pipeline.

Montreal makes two passes and gets a shot on net. We can’t get across the middle with possession. Montreal honestly look like they are going about half speed.

Nice win. With the Canadians playing the 2nd game of a back to back and playing their backup tender, we had to win this one. Nice games by Parise, Staal, and Koivu.

Dumba didn’t see the ice the last 3 minutes.

I didn't make the connection on Sunday but apparently there was some team rallying going on in that win against Montreal around Zucker's mistaken comments to the media. Apparently, Stalock deadpanned that Boudreau was "better" and the entire lockerroom including Bruce busted out laughing.

They showed Sunday that you can play fast as a team if everyone is on the same page and making the right play. Tonight they have Edmonton so we should get a real good look at how much they want to turn this thing around.

It will be interesting to see who Boudreau tries to put on the ice against the McDavid line. Probably Koivu’s line and definitely Suter and Spurgeon. Have to make McDavid’s line play in their own end.

Really tired of the Zucker drama.

As I was saying.
Maybe he is a new man after Boudreau Gate. He went to the net there, didn’t do the twirl O rama around the net. Drew a penalty Wild score.

Really like the way Hunt can blast a one time slap shot on the PP. He and Dumba make 2 big shooters from the point! :dup:

Nice period. Wild came out ready to play. Not a lot of turnovers. Stayed out of the box and avoided the train wreck that usually happens 4 on 4.

Really great to see Staal score. Let’s see if they can do it for 60 minutes!

I like Ryan Carter doing the color commentary...definite improvement compared to Greenlay, granted that’s a low bar to get over, 😂 But overall Carter is doing well👍

Solid effort in the 2nd. Dumont’s line playing well. Soucy playing well. Wild doing a great job shutting down 97.

It’s interesting how little play by play LaPanta does. The Wild are one of stranger broadcasts.

Good win, this will restore some faith.

Great team effort for 60 minutes. Stalock great off the bench, not just with saves but playing the puck.

They shut down McDavid and played a team game. All elements of my 5 point plan that could get them deep into the playoffs this season. Unfortunately for them part of that plan is to stay healthy. So, now that they've finally started playing the game they need to play the health domino's are falling like flies.

There is no luck in this franchise. Ever.

What's bizarre is that I think most of us agreed on paper this team was a marginal playoff entry coming into the season (of course every season we seem teams under/outperform expectations and or perhaps the general public simply got it wrong). What is inexplicable is what seemed like a total lack of effort (albeit I am judging this (not literally) from afar as I've only watched the 2 full games to date). How a team starts the season like doesn't make any sense. The past two games isn't a large sample size, but they at least seem capable of being more competitive than their 0-4 start so what the hell gives?

It's really not that surprising. They have ZERO players on the roster that can take over a game by themselves. They don't even have a pair like that. They need 5 guys on the ice all pushing the truck up the hill or they get run over.

Last night they were a team. A team many of us thought they could be but sort of knew they wouldn't be. And now with the injuries happening like crazy the cycle of the last few years is just going to hit repeat and keep on going.

If they play just hard enough to miss the playoffs and end up with a pick around 14-17 that’s the worst scenario. You want this particular club to either sh!t the bed or make the playoffs. Evil me wants them to squeak in.

Dead on, they have to do it (Pretty Much Everything) as a team (by committee) to be successful. Plus they need very strong goaltending, to have a shot at making the playoffs.

I was talking about what seemed like a total lack of effort - not that they started out losing. I had very low expectations but I do expect professional players to give a $h!t.

Erickson-Ek, Greenway and Rask were all skating today. So the injury thing may not be as bad as it seems.

I think the team has a better shot of winning with Stalock.

Edmonton is pretty much a one line team and the Wild did a great job of shutting 97’s line down. Oiler defense isn’t the greatest and the Wild exposed them with a strong forecheck.

Nashville’s is much deeper at forward and extremely mobile on D. Should be a good test.

Nashville they have to 100% of the time get the puck below the goal line and go to work. Don't turn things over at either blue line or the neutral zone and especially not in the offensive zone.

Nashville very good at getting out of their zone. Especially if Rinne plays. I agree though get it deep, and get on the forecheck. Gives them the best shot of winning.

From Russo: Rask playing tonight. Greenway not. Woke up not feeling well........

Erickson Ek and Dubnyk possibly Saturday. Fiala is day to day.

Dumont and Mayhew get another game. Thought they both played well Tuesday.

That strategy to get rid of the scorers so Parise scores all the goals isn’t working. Two turnovers that turn into goals. You can’t blame Stallock if the D isn’t even there.

Wild looked really good the first period, Suter and Spurgeon -3. Suter with a bad game. Zucker -4 and missed a bunch of scoring chances.

Nashville’s d-men really good. Wild just couldn’t hang with a much better team.
