Schoop hasn't done much in awhile. He is kind of a dead spot in the lineup lately.

Well Rogers made it a little more interesting than I wanted, but a win is a win. Except this was against the Yankees so a win is extra nice! too bad Cleveland won too.

More like Captain Hamburger Helper with how much the Twins pounded him.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
Beat CC for the 1st time tonight at Target Field
Twins hadn’t beaten him anywhere since 2013 (evidently)

You should really call him Cap'n Crunch because he lost 25 pounds in an off-season by not eating a box of Cap'n Crunch a day.

He's a huge addition to the team and I suspect will be the featured catcher over Castro. (I don't know what his defensive skills are, but the kid can hit.)Master_Shake wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23 9:08 amTo early to say that Mitch Garver is the greatest catcher in Minnesota Twins history!?![]()

Yes!
It wasn’t intended that way, but ad placement (or should I say “butt” ad placement
) on the screen at that time during the game yielded a pretty hilarious result imho.

The Yankees don’t just roll up in the fetal position when you hang a few crooked numbers on them.

Really big two innings from him tonight after a huge outing by Thorpe last night.
Stashak's little slider has some wicked bite to it. Fooled Judge and Sanchez multiple times.

Sa- yes!!!!
President GWB said, "And it seems like Minnesota is pretty good at hockey, too."
"I think in the best interest of his career, he definitely would benefit from playing one more year of college," Gretzky said.

Ownership has instructed Falvey and Levine to go after any arm they want as long as the pitcher is making league minimum.

I don't think the fielders even moved on that Sano HR. That's how hard he hit it.

That walk was horseshit pitching. Ball 3 and ball 4 were nowhere near the plate. 2 outs and Rogers gifted that walk and will likely take the loss.

And it’s 11 goddamn 20 pm and we’re not done with the 9th yet.
Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
Don't forget that grooved motionless fastball to the next hitter. Pretty darn bad. Of with how he looked against the first two batters.Bertogliat wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23 11:17 pmThat walk was horseshit pitching. He’s gotten so bad the last couple of years. Has no idea of what’s a hit or not when the ball comes off the bat even though everyone else in the park does.

Why on Earth did Cruz swing at the first pitch?!? Chapman had zero control, other than the gift strikes from the ump.
Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
Not sure, but it was a strike at least. Also wasn't the pitch he flied out on.fightclub30 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23 11:57 pmWhy on Earth did Cruz swing at the first pitch?!? Chapman had zero control, other than the gift strikes from the ump.

That was the worst loss of the year for me...bullpen should be able to hold onto a 9-5 lead - especially when the team added 3 more runs to that total.
If this were a small ball offense they wouldn't be over .500.... woof.
