The jerseys that Vintage Minnesota hockey are close. Looks like the lettering on this years jerseys are more reflective and the neckline is slightly different. Vintage does do a great job with jerseys, as I bought one of the 2015 Gold ones. I will buy one of the new white ones if they become available. Soooo ready for hockey this Thursday.

To sweep Penn State the Gophers will have to pick up right where they left off at the end of last season. It would be a great way to start the season with a sweep of Guy Gadowsky and Penn State!

Two more days boys and girls!! Two more days and the longest break between gopher hockey games in our lifetimes is over. Hopefully after all this is over the average fan will get over playing Ohio State instead of Mankato and they can enjoy the team, the game and the experience. I know I will.

I think this is true of many things in our lives besides Gopher Hockey.

Nope. College sports continue

All youth sports must stop, including high school games, for a month. The same is true for adult sports leagues. College and professional teams are exempted, though collegiate sports must follow recommendations laid out by the state.

Decent write-up, but I noticed at least one error...

Minnesota felt like they were on the rise at the right time last season to end a drought of a couple missed postseasons while ending an NHL draft pick loaded Michigan’s season in the first round of the Big Ten tournament and headed to Hockey Valley playing for a spot in the NCAA tournament against a Penn State team that had been waiting for weeks between games.

I've got a picture from 3/8/2020 on my cell phone that clearly shows Minnesota having defeated Notre Dame, not Michigan (they beat Michigan in the first round in 2019).

I'm pretty sure I heard you make the same error during the podcast, too.

Fair point -- that's what I get for writing without an editor again. I also forgot to take Garret Wait off my line chart and that's why I had them with 15 forwards going into my thinking for the year.

I hope that Burke returns to the way he played in his freshman year before the injury. My main concern for this year is the scoring depth on this team. It seems that the last few years that the scoring from the 4th line has been non existent. Nelson, Perbix, Burke, Munson and Nevers need to show some offense this year. I am also excited to see the growth of Johnson and LaCombe, and see what the new guys ( Koster and Faber ) can provide on defense. Really ready to sit down tonight and watch this team and looking forward to some exciting Gopher Hockey.

I'm really hoping LaCombe has a dominant year. Points on the top PP wouldn't hurt! There were more turnovers than I liked to see early last year from him but he really cleaned things up by the end of the season.

Can't believe I might have missed these two games after checking GPL last weekend to see whether or not Gopher Hockey was on . . . it certainly didn't look like it at that time.

Just happened to catch a Star and Tribune article on the MSN WWW site in the Microsoft Edge browser just before 1:00 PM today and am "pleased as punch" to see we will be playing . . . and PSU ( the same team I had racked up in the countdown page for last season's Big Ten Championships [ so not much of a change to get that WWW site ready for the 100th Season . . . { though the 24-year profile will probably take some work } ] ).

Dang, Gopher Hockey season is finally here and I have to go out shopping just because my refrigerator decided to quit this morning because 2020. I'll be following along and hopefully make it home before the game ends.

This season will no doubt be wonky and have a huge asterisk next to it in the history books, but let's make the most of it and prove we're on our way back to being on top, the opportunity of which was taken from us back in March.
