Pretty sure their stats guy continues to not know what constitutes a shot and is padding their stats.
During their domination streak over us, I no longer feel like the shots they get are that inflated anymore. But they may not pay much attention to the opponent.

We were just saying the same thing. Seems like we had more shots and at one point it went from 10 shots to 9

I quit caring about the shot totals at Penn St. They're so far off it's not even funny. They seem to not realize that their goalie giving up one goal on 9 shots looks worse for him than one goal on 15 shots. Not saying we've had 15 shots, but they don't count close ones for the opposing teams as they do for them.

Gophers are getting killed in the neutral zone all game. It's just unreal how this team has been owned by Penn State. They'll have to get really lucky to steal one tonight...Meyers now with a goal to make this interesting at least.

JFC a defensive gaffe...beat in front of their net. Three gopher jerseys and one PSU guy in front of the net.

After seeing the replay it was worse than I thought. Somebody has to sit Biro down on that one.

Seems like even the goal horn operator has an itchy finger. He's blown the horn twice without looking for a signal from the refs.

The replay they had asking if the refs missed a tripping call on Lacombe. Replay clearly shows Lacombe tapping the puck before the PSU player.
Clymer "Watch this replay, does Lacombe touch the puck before the body? ..... well i think if they had a challenge flag for a penalty they'd be on the power play now."

Lacombe chipped the puck causing the PSU player to fan on it and hit the ice.

Ben Clymer is so freaking bad at his job its insane.
When he elongates his thoughts I cringe at what kind of idiocy will come out of his mouth.

What I don't get is the guy played in the freakin' NHL. He knows more about the game than I ever will, but he talks like he has a lower hockey IQ than anybody in the rink.

Did anyone else think #9 was uncharacteristically ineffective tonight? Not that he wasn't trying or giving a good effort, but was PSU covering him extra tight?

PSU has owned the neutral zone. Gophers didn't adjust too well.

I get that these refs are super proud of not blowing their whistles for a penalty all game... but how the F is that not a penalty?

One of the "games" tonight is over

This result is a positive for the Big Ten race regardless of what happens now.

Pretty frustrating. Gophers have several chances between the dots and try to make the perfect pass. Shoot the puck.

That sucks because they are going to call a ton of penalties tomorrow night. I don't know if we can compete in a special teams heavy game.

Welp, there's your Gophers v Penn State final. Pretty much like it's been scripted to go.

Minnesota lucky to get a tie out of this game. LaFontaine deserved better but good gawd Minnesota against PSU has become almost cartoonish in its futility.
