You'd think with as many games missed by injury the league has already that adding another regular season game for a few dollars more is asking for trouble. https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/a ... dividually.

He will have to pay state taxes, just not for the games he plays in TX. So maybe two snaps.

Wow. Vikings will have to face the two QBs I hate to lose most to twice a year. Rodgers cuz he's a packer and Wilson cuz he's a badger.

This seems unlikely (but not impossible). I could see two first rounders and maybe a 2nd, but 3 plus your best defensive player after letting Akiem Hicks go would mean you have no defensive line, no offensive line (as an existing gap), a pissed off WR1 who was just tagged and a QB over 30 who maybe has 5 years left (7 if he’s durable and 9 if he’s Tom Brady).

As a Bears fan I wouldn’t be excited about this and would rather they keep Mitch, trade up in the draft if they think there’s a QB1 they really want (other than Trevor). You can’t mortgage the entire team for a QB who’s dead in the water with not offensive weapons or support and a now Swiss cheese defense.

Bears just restructured Mack's contract for cap favorability. Seems unlikely they'd then trade him. Seattle isn't going to let Wilson go. Bears don't have the capital for Watson. They're going to get some stop gap solution (Dalton or Minshew or something silly) because that's all that's left. They're too stubborn to retain Mitch and actually build an offense that works within his skillset.

They planned for it like they always do. They knew they were gonna stink last year and convinced players to use the Covid opt out, using the cap advantage.

Rudolph to the Giants.

Smart move by the Bills signing Trubisky for 1 year as a backup. Vikings continue to risk pissing a season away if Cousins got hurt by basically having no backup QB. Luckily he seems to be pretty durable.

NFL reups with ESPN for MNF for 10 years adding a few extra games, 1 ESPN+ exclusive game. Most importantly starting in 2023 there will be flex scheduling for MNF from week 12 on.

Couple of other notes-- Amazon will be the home of Thursday Night Football beginning in 2022. The NFL network will have a few of the Thursday games yet. Al Michaels last NFL game for NBC will be the Feb 2022 Super Bowl, his 11th, and the Tirico will take over the NBC coverage. ( Michaels wanted to cut back a few years ago, but the NFL would not allow Tirico to do more games). also, it looks like ESPN+ will be the streaming home of the NFL and DirecTV will lose the Sunday Ticket in 2022. I wonder what the cost of ESPN+ will be with them having the NHL and NFL streaming right.

I know they have math for all this but 2 1s and a 3 to move from 12 to 3? Not seeing how that’s worthwhile.

So the Dolphins move down 3 spots and pick up a 2023 1st rounder and a 2021 3rd rounder (compensatory pick) AND a 2021 4th rounder?

And the Eagles move down 6 spots and trade a 4th rounder to gain a 2022 first rounder?

All of these picks form from 49ers who moved up 9 spots. They'd better be right on that pick. Good thing 1st round failures are rare......

I can buy that he’s disgruntled and wants to go elsewhere but it’s not exactly above ESPN to blow rumors out of proportion and go full tabloid either.

It's not new, I agree. But it's also not above ESPN and other outlets to not directly quote anyone (even anonymously) and create tabloid material. Perhaps more will come out later but this seems to come up every offseason.

If he really wanted out, he would have made a big fuss at the end of the year like Diggs did. Give GB time to figure something out. Instead he does it at the last possible second and their hands are tied. Makes for good drama, but nothing will come of it.

I was in GB for less than five minutes and knew I wanted out in a hurry.

AR must be slow….. 🤣
GB must have some dreadful ‘owners’ to let this whole situation happen :ahhh:

The kid from Marshall leads SF to a Super Bowl title before the Vikings get one. Probably my second team to watch now with a Minnesotan at QB. Go kid.

It's not new, I agree. But it's also not above ESPN and other outlets to not directly quote anyone (even anonymously) and create tabloid material. Perhaps more will come out later but this seems to come up every offseason.

WTF are they thinking here? The decision to draft Love should have been a fireable offense given he hasn’t appeared to slow down. Now you’ve alienated the QB who had just led you to the NFC title game and then backs it up with a MVP season.

Everyone knows the size of his ego and I’m frankly surprised it took this long.

I switched from the great draft coverage on ABC with the college gameday crew to ESPN with Booger and Kiper....pass.

And a 5 this year and a 4 next year. Seems like a lot for 9 spots and not in the top 10.

The Bears love to stretch for QBs that turn out to be league average after their first 3 years...keep it up

Green Bay, with a high end WR on the board, takes a corner. 🤣🤣

Granted, it is a position of need. But still funny.

The best part of this is that Green Bay had the 2nd ranked offense in the league behind KC and the 26th ranked defense. They don’t necessarily have a pressing need for offensive skill players or to trade the reigning MVP who led them to back-to-back NFC championship games. Their offense was good because Rodgers dissected defenses on a weekly basis.

This comes down to Rodgers the Cali kid having had enough of crappy Green Bay. I guarantee his actress fiancée has no interest in spending a winter there and he agrees.

Their offense was good, yes. But they desperately need another WR to help take heat off Adams. They've got an all-world QB and a high end RB and all-pro WR. And no real second threat.

I'd bet part of their 26th ranked defense is also due in part to teams having to air it out against a prevent defense late in games. They definitely needed a second CB (Jaire Alexander is very good, their #2 CB was hot trash). It's just kinda funny to me that they went CB there when everything I've seen/heard is that after the top 4 CBs (Surtain, Horn, Newsome, Farley) that the next 4-5 CBs are mostly interchangeable, and multiple reports had Stokes as ranked between the #7-10 CB in the draft. I personally don't hate the pick, as he has blazing speed and always seemed to make a big play when I watched Georgia, but he seemed like a guy destined to be available in the mid-to-late second rounder.

As for Aaron wanting out because Wisconsin sucks...well... you're probably not wrong there.

I saw someone on Twitter last night suggest that Rodgers wants to go to Tampa Bay because he realizes his best shot at another ring is by backing up Tom Brady.
