NFL to inspect Giants stadium field after multiple injuries during games the past few years
Barkley being one of them and done for the season. Tough break for him and the Giants.
And the 9ers lost 3,4? I lost count

Can the rash of injuries be at least partly attributed to the shorter-than-normal period of time that the players had to go through their usual pre-season workouts? Or is it just one of those fluky things?

A lot of injuries are not broken bones, etc (hard injuries). It's torn tendons, ligaments, sprains, so your point is valid, IMO.

This sort of thing happens every year in the preseason and training camp. Seems worse this year because it’s happening in games that count.

The NFL has tons of injuries every year. Usually the teams that have success in any given year are the ones that are the healthiest/luckiest with injuries. I haven't seen any definitive evidence that there have been more so far. Not saying it's not possible, but we don't know for sure.

As Bert said, it's the timing. It's not happening in pre-season. It's happening in regular season, due to no pre-season.

Overturned after the New Orleans challenge. Just a horrible initial call. The officials really make it tough to watch the game

One of my leagues allowed owners to place Steelers and Titans players on the covid list and are allowed to pick someone up to replace them. But, there are not any good free agents left, so they had better have had a deep bench. Hopefully they will get the game rescheduled before the end of the year, or if you have any of those players you will have them for 1 less game. In this league, I'm the commish and had many of these things mapped out so we were prepared.

In my other league you are SOL and and it is what it is.

It was highly recommended you had a Rona List, separate from the IR list. As long as the league agrees before the season started, on whatever rules you put in place, you'd be fine. Like, if the season ended prematurely, do you have those rules in place? Who's the champ, if you decided you needed one, etc.

Right now it looks like they’re just moving byes around so no need make changes. I think our league will just call it quits if COVID impacts the season significantly and push the cash to 2021.

Our keeper league has designated backups for guys who may be impacted (like me, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire) that may not play this week due to COVID. He's in my flex spot so I'm keeping him in my lineup. If the Chiefs-Pats game gets postponed for another week, the commish will go in and update the rosters after the week with our designated replacement guy.

It was fun to see Johnson have a good debut for Tampa. 4 catches on 6 targets and 15 yards average per catch. Kudos to him!
Winfield Jr. has been solid for them too. I think he's a starting safety for them already. :dup:
Rookie of the Month, if I am not mistaken.

Correct. Winfield is doing great at the NFL level. (Like it was ever a question)

Dig a little on the Google, guarantee you can find a link. I wouldn't recommend it, it's not pretty.

Mike Williams with the man-sized catch. Hits the ground so hard his helmet pops off but hangs on to the ball.

Lattimore wins the game pulling back a much bigger WR from getting a first down on 4th down. Chargers are easily the best 1-4 team in league history and Herbert is gonna be a top 5 QB for his long career.

You have to respect it. They know how to tank. Even at 1-15 I don't think the Vikings would have a shot at #1. So we'll just get another blah season between 6-10 and 9-7.

Directing more at Bell. Top paid player, decides to hold out, ends up on Jets, and then gets cut. Seriously, dude? You are a joke.

Imagine being a Jets fan....you’re stuck with a QB who is never gonna be good, a coach who is proven to suck at his job and disliked by his players, and your team is paying for a Top 10 RB in the league to play for another team. The Jets are the joke here, Bell will be a productive player somehwhere in the league, maybe even this year.

Their best chance at Lawrence is to not fire Gase until after the season.
