Will be interesting to see if the Gophers give Irving/Williams/Wylie more run here in the 4th. Potts was limping a bit last drive and is at 60 carries in the last 7 days.

Through 3 quarters the Gophers have out gained the Buffs 324 yards to 28. When is the last time the Gophers have dominated a Power Five conference team like that?

Our clock management drives me nuts!!! We burn sooooooooooooo many time outs such that at the end of half we lack time outs. It shouldn't matter today but it does negatively impact us in close games.

I don’t get our play calling at all. Run. Run. Run. Timeout. Run.
Just throw a pass. Or don’t call timeout.

At least we made the kick.

Absolutely. The TV guys even highlighted the size of the crowd at the beginning of the game and talked about how impressive it was that we had that many fans travel.

Ky Thomas gdtting some runs here. Had a 25 yard run where the turf monster got him.

Then he makes a cutback for his first career touchdown a couple plays later.

Irving and Thomas could be a ridiculously good duo.

The Buffs were a slight favorite. Colorado lost last week 10-7 giving up a late TD to #5 Texas A&M.

We should be ranked higher then Texas A&M next week. :biggrin2:

The Trib said that Spectrum carries the PAC12 channel (actually 7 of them! 472-478). I have the sports package and I do get the channels. I think you should be able to find a bar in the south metro to watch the game.
I don’t have the sports package and do not get those channels.
What???? Cowgirl doesn't have the Sports package and here I thought she liked sports.

Gopher defense played much better, obviously. The Colorado offense was some of the worst I have seen in a long time. They couldn’t block anyone and couldn’t pass. All against a team that gets blocked and leaves guys wide open fairly often.

I feel like we could have thrown all over this team if we had to. Receivers were wide open if they weren’t being interfered with.

Solid win on the road. Bring that same attitude next week for Homecoming. Love to hear the rouser and row the boat chants ar the end of the game.

The Gophers weren't 100% healthy either. They curb-stomped a decent team on the road. Credit where credit is due.

Just returned to Denver after game. Temps extremely high throughout. Save for some games at Wrigley in July, I cannot remember attending any event in such conditions.

CU's QB play was awful & MN's D-line played well even when the game was somewhat in doubt.

Thousands of MN fans in attendance. Maroon and gold everywhere. It was an event.

With a wedding next Friday in MN, we'll see the BG game next weekend, too.

There were six of us - we had 2 tickets near the Gopher sideline where they caged the CU buffalo (that was pretty cool) and another 4 across the field in the upper bowl.

MN fans everywhere in each section. I met MN grads that live in Denver, NYC, SC, FL, SoCal, Chicago and all over MN.

Fun day but I'm so dehydrated.....

There were so many Gopher fans at the game. Was a ton of fun. The visitors sections at Folsom are 101 and 102, we were in 103, which was all Gopher fans as well, even section 104 was almost all MN.

Defense played very well, much better and more complete effort than last week.

I’m not a big poll guy. Most polls are by teams names and so on. Though Minnesota not even getting votes for the Top 25 is surprising. 2-1, hung with a top 10 team (even lead at half), snuck past a mid major (though several 25s have struggled with mid majors or even FCS teams) and blow out a team who hung with a top 10 team last week.

Couldn’t watch the game, as my gf and I were cycling with my cousin and his wife in Stillwater, but loved watching the highlights of the victory. Amazing how they just took it to them for 60.

One thing I hadn't seen mentioned here yet that I thought was very cool: when Dunlap got hurt late in the game, one of the first guys out there to check on him was Mo Ibrahim, cast on his ankle on one of those knee scooters.
He's definitely maintaining his leadership role on this team despite the injury. Love to see it.

I don’t think I read of it was a confirmed tear of the Achilles.
I don't think it was ever confirmed, but in one of PJ's pressers he was asked something about whether he's ever seen someone recover from an achilles injury like that (something to that effect) and he answered the question without denying that it was an injury to the achilles. Take it for what its worth.

I saw a post-game interview where PJ said Mo claims to be 2-0 as a coach.

Victory preferences (and getting people on campus for a game otherwise not interesting).

Kieft won't get much for accolades since he isn't catching, but one of the better blockers in the Big Ten.

Can't seem to get much going offensively against Bowling Green so far. Defense showed up, though.

Yikes. Why that shotgun run when the defense is stacked like that. RB gets the ball with zero forward momentum.
Ease your mind, have a banana or two.

Hindsight is 20/20. Should have punted.

I’m fine with the call. Shouldn’t have run a play from 7 yards back on 4th and 1.

Apparently PJ wants to play from behind!!!

Bowling Green had done absolutely nothing on offense yet rather than punt and play field position with the lead he goes for it on 4th down at his own 29 yard lines giving them a short field and is now down 7-3.

In that field position, don’t get the call early. Punt it!

That was an ugly possession. Somehow BG is putting 6-8 in the box and our receivers still can’t get open. This team looks so good one week and just awful the next. The offense hasn’t looked this bad in a long time.

Have not completed a pass since the first drive. Seems like we may go into half down as 31 point favorites.

You're not impressed by the 92 yards on 32 plays (less than three yards per play)?

Six possessions - 3 punts, a fumble, a turn it over on downs at your own 24 (leading to a Bowling Green touchdown), a fumble, and a field goal which they got even though they went three and out because of field position due to the defense getting an interception.

28 rushes for 69 yards (2.5 yards per rush). If the offense line doesn't open up some holes in the 2nd half this could end bad.

I’m going to assume we’re running the OSU game plan. We’ll take over in the 2nd half and win 31-10.

Anyone have Cole Kramer with the first MN TD today on their BINGO card?

Comes in the Wildcat and scores from 20

Omg. Play a punt. We’re stsrting inside our 10 for no reason. Fair catch it at least.
