Kick off the new thread.

I won't pretend to know anything about the subject. If projections such as this one are common and Oturu is not expected to go in the 1st round does it even measurably make it more likely he would return for to college?

Even though 2nd round picks aren't guaranteed contracts, it's pretty likely that they get them. Regardless, I think Oturu has made up his mind that he is gone no matter what. Another year at Minnesota doesn't really benefit him.

Gophers should have a pretty good chance at getting Both Gach, who is transferring from Utah if he decides not to enter the NBA Draft. He's from Austin and with COVID, making the argument that he wants to be closer to home may be his best bet for getting an immediate transfer waiver.

Oturu is not coming back. He will be in the NBA rather fast even if he is a later pick. Coming back will not hep his stock much barring a deep run in the NCAAs where he dominates.

Last I heard, they were in pretty decent shape for Holmgren, but it was likely between them and the G-League. I wonder if that's a signal of where that is headed.

Although I personally think the chances of Chet going to the UMN are very slim, it is worth noting that Dave Holmgren was very adamant that they do not want Chet playing center and he will only be going to a team with "plenty" of big men to ensure he is not one injury away from having to play center. For what it's worth.

Watched a good chunk of the game last night. Granted the competition wasn't great, but they looked pretty darn good. Carr and Gach running the offense should be fun.

Gopher hoops had a tight game last night. They got off to a really slow start and were down as much as 15 points in the second half.
Mashburn had 10pts in 13 minutes, Carr scored 9 of his 22pts in OT. Gabe Kalscheur continues to be ice cold but the team is still undefeated.

They hit some big ones in regulation, too. That was a good win for the team.

Last year after beating OSU early, everybody thought the Gophers were going to be better than expected. Um, nope.

After this big win, hopefully the season will turn out differently.

I don't pay attention to the computer rankings, and this surprises me. About the only metric I use for the bouncy ballers is which tournament they get invited to.

I'll bet 50% of the people reading this statement have no idea what this means, but I still do it as well.

My favorite memory of this was in 93-94 season when we started chanting it in the first half in a game against Indiana. Gophers won that game by 50 on national television. It was the only game I was at all year (roommate couldn't go and gave me his tickets) but watching Bobby Knight meltdown during the first 10 minutes of the game was pretty fun to see in person.

We started 3-20 before that basket by Gabe, somehow only down by 4. Both teams playing great defense and/or shooting like garbage. Also, these are the loudest rims ever.

#22 gets too much playing time for my liking.
