No idea how that safety gets to stay in the game when he didn't even attempt to avoid high contact, but Harrison gets ejected and fined for going lower and still making contact.

I have to say, I've really only watched one half of Vikings football intently this year (the first one) and the stress and annoyance levels are waaaaayyy down. Why spend four hours a week watching a team you know is going nowhere?

Zimmer is arguably too OLD to be an NFL head coach IMHO. And Kubiak appears over the hill too. That said, the D sucks & Cousins folds in big spots. He’s a boxscore, not a winner in clutch situations. Neither is anybody else on this team (at least in 2020) for that matter. Tank for Trevor

When you're in the spot the Vikings are in, you go for it. Fourth and inches on the 6 yard line? I've got no problem with going for the dagger.

If they're a team that was already in a playoff spot, sure go kick the FG and make them get 8 pts to tie. But when you need to rack up Ws to make the playoffs (which, had they squeaked this out, would not have been out of the question given what else is going on in the NFC this season)... I've got no problem trusting your offense. Seattle defense just made a great play.

Game is OVER? Ive watched our sports teams enough. SEA still goes down the field, gets the TD and the 2pt. Our offense does nothing, then we lose in OT. So if anything, not kicking the FG just gets me in bed earlier with the same result.

I'd rather go for the win. Your mileage may vary.

Obviously I disagree. You NEED this win. So go by stats (in this case overrule due to point differential) and make it an assumed 8 pt deficit.

He also didn’t drive his team down the field to win the game, Wilson did. Cousins is an exactly average QB. He makes the plays that are there but never makes a big play in a big spot or saves a play when it breaks down. He doesn’t make his teammates better. He doesn’t feel the pressure well or buy time to take pressure off the offensive line. He’s an average QB and always will be. The Vikings need to upgrade the position and shouldn’t have given him an extension.

Yes...Cook gets a first down there. All he had to do was bounce outside the tackle, there was a big hole, he would have scored.

Does it though? With our defense, I'd argue that the best chance of winning the game is a one-off play where we only have to gain one yard, against a pretty bad defense.

At the end of the game it looked like Cook was enjoying the loss, laughing, smiling, and chit chatting with the Seattle players - after getting humiliated and going to a season-ending 1-4 in the process.

Cousins actually looked really sharp after throwing that dreadful interception. Not many people I'm sure thought the Vikings would come back the way they did. The offense caught fire and ran the crap out of the ball....until it mattered most and then couldn't get a couple inches. Ugh.

Read the above again. He helped them get the lead in the 4th quarter and put them in position to add to it late in the game. Other factors outside his control led to the loss.

When the Vikings are bad they get that 7-9 pick. They’re never Cleveland bad. Unfortunately they’ve never drafted a QB like Rodgers or Wilson who are available later in the first round (or third in Wilson’s case) and have star potential.

I am 45 years old and Daunte Culpepper is the only QB I can remember drafting (11th) that had a remote chance of being great.
