I figured that a power play force like # 11 is, according to J22, would be a hot commodity for any contending team.
I realize Parise would have to sign off but once it got out that he was willing to go to the Isles....Why wouldn't any contending team want such a player? The deals do not have to be done at the stroke of the hour, also. The teams talking do have to be logged onto the NHL trade line and be working out details, from what I have seen else where
A combination of cap hit, term remaining and age. I thought that was a pretty obvious one.

As far as submitting a deal to the league it has to be filed by the deadline. So it would have to be done in regards to teams being in agreement.

This would have been a great time to move Parise. He's having a career average year, and he hasn't missed games due to injury, which is unusual for him. He's the perfect late season veteran trade to a team hungering for just a little more scoring punch during a playoff run.

They may have missed a key window, because who's going to want him in the off season? What price is he worth for 20 goals and having to cross your fingers that he doesn't end up hurt by the time the playoffs come around? He's an aging player who doesn't get up and down the ice all that well, and it starting to show.

I admire his work ethic, his ability to gain control of the puck and his knack for scoring. But as a fan, all I care about is seeing the team get better and better so they can at least have a chance some day for a championship. Does having Parise on this team help that? Absolutely not. He'll be coaching his kid's pee wee team by the time the Wild are even close.

Wild playing against a very tired and depleted Blue Jackets team tonight. Lets see how this plays out.

Duby spotted to Blues two crap goals. Not a good plan playing a good team with top goaltending.

Fortunately tonight Stalock gave up a crap goal to tie and they got it back. He might face 15 more shots all game hopefully he doesn’t blow it.

The Toronto Zamboni goalie was a cute story. Wild could easily trump it and let their Zamboni driver play the rest of the season.

Healthy scratch/4th liner Ryan Donato now leads the team in 5x5 goals and has twice as many as Zach Parise.

This was set up perfectly for the Wild. Team on a back to back and they are basically an AHL team with all the injuries. Kudos to them for not letting this one slip away.

Does anyone else get nhl app alerts? They used to be moments after a goal but they are really delayed now.

Wondering if it’s the app or my phone.

BTW the blue jackets don’t look so tired anymore.

I was only able to watch the second period. I actually thought he looked decent, made 3 or so nice saves in the 2nd. What the hell happened? Reverted back to normal in 3rd?

Strange game indeed. Couple gaffes by defensemen tonight. Pateryn and Dumba had fumbles in front of the net that lead to goals and Suter gets walked by Werenski.

Really good Russo-Souhan podcast this week. Russo breaks down the potential Parise trade and how it broke down ( he thinks the Wild backed away ) and that the Islanders were going to trade Bellows for Koivu but Mikko decided to not wave his no movement.

Do the Wild send the Predators a gift basket this off season for the Armed Highway Robbery?

Do the Wild send Fenton a gift basket as a thank you? I guess he is still getting paid.

At the game. Red everywhere. Do caps fans travel that well or is it just the local whioux community? The majority have Ovi jerseys however.
Local Whioux community. That combined with winning a cup recently and there’s a lot of band wagoners.

Picked a good game to go to Cowgirl. Same thing when the Blackhawks are in town. Lots of Red.

Just watched the play before the scrap. What the hell was Kowalchuk’s problem.

I know...he snapped. They are extremely uptight about protecting their goalie.

Hartman slashed him across the hand as Stalock was covering the puck.

Stalock must have taken acting lesson while at Duluth. He is a great flopper.

Parise was the weak side winger on the Caps 4th goal. Totally out of position.

The only time he's ever in position is during faceoffs. Donato moved up to play with Staal and Fiala

Didn't seem like Washington had to work that hard for their goals tonight. Stalocks high stick killed all the momentum from the Donato goal

Are Kovalchuk/Kuznetsov/Ovechkin playing together? Russian Five was one of the reasons I fell in love with hockey, so that line sounds SICK.

Another sub 900% save percentage night from a Wild goalie. Parise is basically evolved into a PP specialist because his 5x5 play is horrible. He now has 17 PP points out of his 42 total points and is -12. That leaves him with 25 5x5 points. Donato only has 2 of his 23 points on the PP and is a +9.

It amazes me that Al Stalock who was a second rate backup is the Wild’s “Starting Goalie”

How is this team even in the playoff mix?

I just looked it up and the Wild have given up the fewest scoring chances in the entire NHL and by a pretty healthy margin.

A mediocre goalie would be putting up some pretty nice numbers playing behind this squad.

I am all for Guerin taking a measured approach and making sensible moves where they make sense. But doing something drastic because of this goaltending doesn’t make sense to me.

His top priority should be to find a goaltender for next season to go along with Kappo. Stalock can be put in Iowa if he wants to continue playing.

There are a handful of older goalies that will be UFA this summer that would be perfect for a 1 year deal to help Kahkonen break into the league.

Guerin really botched this season, hopefully he has learned a few things along the way and next year will show improvement.

Not sure who the goalie is that he should’ve went out and got? And at what cost? This team still wouldn’t make a run at the cup with what was available.

There were probably 2 dozen goalies available that would have been an improvement over what the Wild have been given this season

2 dozen? That seems high, but I guess if you mean anybody that actually throws on the pads, well then sure.

That's kind of the point when your backup was literally the worst goaltender in the league lastseason. I understand giving Dubnyk another year to try and figure it out, but to start this season with both Dubnyk and Stalock was a giant failure. To get to this point in the season without fixing that mistake is an even bigger failure.

For a guy that wasn't afraid to talk tough about getting rid of players that weren't on board with doing whatever it takes to win, he hasn't come even close to holding up his end.
