Yes...where IKEA is now. I miss Met Center too, some great hockey memories. I saw a Gophers vs Wisconsin game there, a New Years Eve game against Chicago where 5 players from each team were ejected and also the clinching game 6 in ‘91 against Chicago. Good stuff...
Also Gophers vs. the North Stars. And the State High School Hockey Tournament.

What happened to Ek? Also not sure how PHI ended up on the PP after Gostisdouche punched Fiala in the back of the head.

EN 4-1!!

The Wild earned this win, now have road trip followed by one of the craziest stretches of games I think I've ever heard of.
Currently under construction.

Ek was checked in the corner as he was reaching for a puck. Kind of an awkward hit and he took it on the chin. Hopefully ok, maybe got his bell rung a bit.

It is NICE seeing them play well 👍 Some of the younger guys are coming of age, some of the veterans have knocked some rust off. And without Dubbs, the goalies are finding a way to win games! Hard to believe they’d have been at this point (at the end of October). And Bruce is an outstanding (regular season) coach! 😉

What? Game’s over halfway and nobody here bitching about the Wild yet?

I’d like to see a view of chi’s first goal that actually shows it crossing the line. It looked like a total hometown call to me.

I still think it’s a hometown call. I don’t see any space between the puck and the line. But I’m not an NHL ref. ;)

Dumba playing with Hunt
Menell with Suter
Dumba -3

Boring game. Garbage goals and not a lot of flow. Our old nemesis Kane gets the Hatty. Wild 36% in the faceoff circle.

It was time for him to go back down. It will get real interesting though if Dubnyk picks up where he left off.

#1 thing over everything else is they had to find a way for once to be a relatively healthy squad. That appears to have no way of happening for this group.

Gotta at least split the next two games and get some guys healthy. Ek’s injury is concerning as it is probably a concussion and who knows how long he will be out.

Alright Mr Line Juggles exercise some common sense and get Luke Johnson off of your second line and away from one of your best players.

And maybe put Parise back with Fiala.

Just when you thought Dubnyks back and we were back on track for the Lafreniere sweepstakes, Keumper says hold my beer. Still over 10 minutes to go, so who knows.

Hunts goal was a thing of beauty, I don’t even know how that angle was possible. Zuccarrello tipped one on net up stairs.

Dubnyk looks like a disaster. The first two of the third were awful.

I agree Hunts goal was nice, not sure why Keumper gave him the upper part of the net. Looked like he was lunging towards Hunt.

It’s amazing what the doctors and rehab teams can do for elite athletes. I broke my fibula playing hockey and it was at least six months before I could skate again; 😂 (granted I didn’t have surgery).
Bones generally don’t fully heal in that span of time unless you’re a kid so it’s truly amazing they can get back to playing so quickly.

On the Wild game they said he played the last 2 periods of the game with the injury, so maybe it wasn’t a significant break.

I absolutely loathe watching Suter on the PP 👺 I’d much rather see Brodin playing that PP spot.

Kunin fighting. Maybe he can get the same injury Dumba got last year.

Love Wes Walz saying this blowout may be a good thing so the older Wild players can rest the remainder of the game

Walz is so dumb he makes bearpaw seem like he knows what he's talking about.

At least he is the first commentator all year that had the stones to flat out call it, the Wild have below average goaltending.

Russo is over on Twitter, pretending to act like he knows hockey every time a puck is put in the middle of the net.

Now they are giddy that Dubnik gets a chance to play on his home ice before playing the next home game. Also, they are happy Devon gets a chance to face a PP. This is TV gold.

Walz now explaining how this is the greatest 6-0 loss of all time. Wild were not loose defensively. Played great.

Good news is Bruce juggles lines after each loss. So he can finally get the career minor league C off of the 2nd line with his hottest forward. Shouldn’t take him long to figure out his 4th line C has been pretty solid and can fill in while they wait to get healthy.

At least 4 turnovers at the offensive blue line.
Got to get the puck deep if you have nothing.

The injuries are going to take their toll in the win loss column, and the Jets are a pretty good team. Need to have amnesia and win the games they can with their ailing line up. Hopefully they don't let all the air out of the balloon before their guys come back....

Still have a goal tending mess, though, and now Zucker is missing significant time (and he won't be able to train to stay in game shape....you can add a few more weeks for that).

Stalock was terrible against the Jets and the Wild defenseman as a group were not any better.

Nice to have Ek back. Made several nice plays on the PK.

When everyone is healthy, where do you put him? If he is on the 4th line he is better off playing a ton in Iowa and playing special teams.

I agree he has looked solid tonight and pretty quick. I like when he chips it in and is right in on it.

We have had a lot of guys in the current young batch and going back to 2013 that earned their way by getting thrown right into the mix at the NHL level with very few AHL games. We need to start developing these guys so they can make a true impact when they come up.

Look at Soucy 130 AHL games or so and he has made a very nice transition.

Other than his non stop love for Parise, Louie is 100 times better on the broadcast than the other clowns.

You’re right. Makes me feel good about the future though. That and the fact that the other young players are starting to score.

Plus if the Wild felt like he was their best option on the 4th and he made them slightly better than Rask, Donato or whoever he would replace call him up in March. But let him get a good 50 games in down there.

Nice comeback from the bad game Saturday.

Pretty much everything they did badly against the Jets they were much better at tonight.

Other than the turnovers at the offensive blue line the whole team played well defensively and Dubnyk was solid.

Was this a planned/scheduled thing? My dad texted me asking why he was broadcasting and I had no idea he was even on cuz I'd just gotten home.

Yes, it's a rotating cast of Nanne, Walz, Carter, and Greenlay. Mr. Smug is even doing some of the radio play by play as well.

Yeah I knew about PA doing some radio. I assume that's because Kurtz is probably nearing the end of his broadcast career? He's gotta be close to 70 now doesn't he?

Had my doubts the young guys would produce this season but they've definitely been a bright spot and a good reason to watch. Greenway, Ek and Kunin are really starting to get it gong. Soucy has been a nice surprise as well, and Fiala is playing like the guy the Wild hoped they were getting.
