Fensno St is decent. Im somewhat surprised we aren't losing by more. But at the same point in time some awful, awful mistakes. One would be bad, but we've had quite the collection this game. Hopefully they are just getting them out of their system before bigten play.

Row Boat Man looks like Pierre McGuire’s wet dream tonight. OMG, the get-up, bending over to the point of Capri pants. I know it’s all about the winning he’s going to do at some future date, but jeez, he’s a fancy prancing hoot to watch. God bless whatever AD hired him!

Man, watching that play from the pressbox angle... What a great read by Winfield. Totally left his man when he saw the WR hitting the post.

What a phenomenal play.

I'll say this: that RB #20 for Fresno State reminds me a lot of Tarik Cohen. He is shifty and quick as hell.
They really should use him more but I’m thinking he’s small and they are worried about injury from a high workload? I’m thinking he could excel in a Alvin Kamara like usage.

The radio call was hilarious...Grimm says there is a guy wide open in the end zone then screams about the INT. Strange flip flop in like a second  Similar to the 4th down TD to CAB where he sounded like he thought it was out then slowly realized what happened :)

This team makes stupid mistakes...but man they dont quit. If they can clean some of this crap up they could be really fun to watch.

For some reason 11 throws a touch pass there? TD if he drills it in there.
The point was he’s pure fun to watch. He beats FBS teams to boot. He’d make a great late night infomercial host, totally ready for that stage, getting my credit card warmed up.

Where I will agree with you is that I would like to see him be a little more controlled on the sideline from the standpoint of being a calming influence, letting his emotions show at the right times. College games tend to be long and controlling the emotions of a college student until his next opportunity to make a difference is key. Football teams can always use some focus on discipline, I think he already realizes and is focusing on that generally but he could have a little sideline discipline himself.

PJ is obviously a talented coach, I watched him steal a game from Northwestern at Western Michigan. As you wrote, he has some strides to make at this level. Keeping his emotions and energy under control will help him beat the better teams. This was a win, but should anyone be super excited for anything but the excitement of how close the Gophers made it by shooting themselves in the foot a dozen times? 😂

Gophers game gets #10 and #7 spots in top 10 plays. #10 was the Fresno 2 pt. conversion. #6 was our ridiculous TD on 4th and 15.

He is never going to be that way. He is like most fans are he is into every play and has the energy of a coke fiend. That is one of the reasons players love playing for him.

And sorry but I just dont think him being like that affects the game at all. It isnt like all the stoic calm cool and collected coaches are successful. Plenty of overly emotional coaches have been successful. If he can do the job his being a sparkplug on the sideline isnt going to be what holds him back. (even if I personally find it distracting)

If Fleck stood on the sidelines like a statue, fans would complain that he doesn't care and needs to show more passion. Ya' can't win with some people.

I was thinking the same thing. I bailed at half and watched the rest this morning. Reading this thread you’d think the Gophers were garbage.

Too many TOS and dumb penalties or this is a clear Gopher win. We can clean those things up. I feel better about this game than the SDSU game.

I can’t believe this game ended is such a similar fashion to last year’s game against Fresno St. Winfield wow.

Bravo.

Glen Mason loses that game. That's all anyone will care about after this season is over. Fleck has a lot of material to coach up his players now. Any "cockiness" they may have had should be gone after that performance.
