It honestly just rubs a bit more salt in the wound. Love those colors and all, but seeing them with that logo just twists the knife.

I’m sure they’ll serve their purpose (money) very well though.

Some head scratchers with some of those. I like the Flames, Canadians, Kings, Rangers and Pens. Not a fan of Devils, Blues, Wild, Jets, Ducks and Vegas. I love the whole Whalers and Quebec vibe, but not a fan of those current cities using those. Could you imagine if Dallas used the old North Stars logo or Arizona using the old Jets logo?

It's labeled as being Authentic. Assuming it actually is, that's not really a bad price. $130 for the Replicas

Same here. I loved the North Stars growing up which is why I've never accepted the Wild as my team. I actually root against the Wild because I fear that hard core Wild fans will become even more obnoxious than Packers fans should the Wild ever win a Stanley Cup.

After the North Stars left, correct. I was a free agent at that point. Damned if I was going to become a Dallas fan. Although I was at the first Wild regular season home game ever; had to pass the torch.

As was I. My “Norm Still Sucks” sign even appeared as a square in Terrance Fogerty’s painting of that game.

I was at the last North Stars game and the first Wild game.

Fittingly my “Norm Sucks” sign at one of the last North Stars games also made it into Sports Illustrated. I guess it came full circle.

I think I might still have that SI photo somewhere. I thought it was cool that it made a national mag, and I could say "Hey, I know who that guy is!" I couldn't make it to the last NS home game, made it to the second to last one, though.

Fittingly, the last NS game I did have on VHS tape, paired with the Cheers series finale. The ends of two legendary eras. :(

I was at the second to last home game also. I believe it ended up being their final win, as they lost the last few games of the season after that. I remember it was a Saturday, because I skipped my senior prom for it. Not that I would have had a date anyway. :)

Why is Iowa State wearing black and white uniforms today? I hate it when teams don't wear their school colors.
I wondered that too, but it’s better than their Ronald McDonald colors imho. That would have looked pretty gaudy next to the lemon-limers.

I asked my ISU alum buddy about that in the Big 12 Championship game where they wore the same black unis, he said they have apparently never lost in those black uniforms, 8-0 or something like that.

Also apparently it really pisses off Iowa fans, so they also enjoy agitating the Hawkeye fans

My two sons went to ISU and I asked them their opinion of the black uniforms. The oldest didn't like them as he feels the teams should wear their school colors. The youngest likes them because the players like them and because of their very good winning percentage when wearing the black uniforms. I personally don't care for the black uniforms.

I hated seeing the Gophers basketball play in black uniforms against the skunks last week. Gopher basketball has great uniforms (at least they do when wearing gold at home). These black and white uniforms are awful.

But as Handyman has said in the past (and I agree) whatever attract recruits is better than my opinion. If the basketball recruits like the white and reddish floor with white, uniforms......I'll have to deal with my anger.

I draw a line with hockey uniforms however.

The jerseys that the Rams wore yesterday were horrid. The lettering looked like plastic or vinyl or something. Disgusting.

Don’t a lot of college hockey gear, including the Gophers, have the same plastic lettering and logos?

This better be a joke. Are they having other brackets? No Jefferson Jaguars or current Edina or Duluth East jerseys? So many cool jerseys left off only to have 8 variations of North Stars jerseys.

Because they picked jerseys they sell. This is called marketing.

Update - I connected with Vintage Minnesota Hockey. They still have lots of 100 year jerseys left, so be sure to look them up if you want one, they are pretty sharp looking!

https://classicmnhockey.com/collections ... ack-jersey

Reminder, sizes run big. You will get a jersey tagged a size smaller than you order because of that (i.e. if you wear/order an XL, it will come tagged as a large).
This is similar to the previous gold alternates (i.e I ordered a medium, so the tag says small) - so keep that in mind if you order off the gold jersey tag sizing!

They were supposed to get extended sizes but for some reason K1 did not send them....so if you want something other than the L-XXL currently offered, please reach out to them to order - sounds like it will be another 9+ weeks for those but still plenty of time before the season!

Just wondering if any of you guys have received the jersey yet and what is your opinion of them? I have the gold one from them, and was very satisfied. I have the knock off one from this year and debating if I should upgrade.
