Odo has pitched about as well as anyone could've hoped. Cave's dive, and Sano's misplay at third cost the 2nd run.
And the Bomba Squad is still MIA
Misplay at 3rd?
He quickly moved pretty far away from the line, and stayed in. With 2 outs I would've thought he should've gone back for sure to get more time, but then also a bit closer to the line (that part possibly hindsight). I'm not sure why he was at the edge of the grass with 2 outs.

I can pretty much guarantee that Sano was playing exactly where the coaching staff wanted him to. He was up on the edge of the grass because Polanco was behind 2nd base. If Sano is back at 3rd, all Gardiner has to do is touch the ball towards the left side for a free run.

Still can't hit. No one cares where Sano was playing. This is an offensive team that can't hit in the playoffs.

And we leave 2 more on base. I donβt care what this team says, the Yankees are in their head.

Pitcher and catcher don't need to cover home with 2 out though. Tricky play. I don't understand the call to play him in with 2 outs then.
Pooping your pants with bases loaded will likely be the defining moment of this game though unless the Yankees pile it on shortly.

I don't really understand what you mean about covering home? Agree that the hitting is what is killing them. Yankees pitchers have been throwing a ton of crushable pitches all night.

Ok. If we do rally and pull ahead our closer is gone. Brilliant!

I've got no problem with it. Don't save your best for a situation that might never happen. Absolutely need to keep it at 2 until we can figure it out. Any more runs and it's likely over.

Fun season, but time to head south, pull out the golf clubs and start again next February. I was thrilled to have seen the squad make the post-season, but it IS frustrating to seemingly have yet another "Not with a bang but a whimper" ending.

Arreaz appears to be the only βclutchβ player on the Twins roster. Somebody PLEASE prove me wrong.

Didi with 29 RBIs in last 13 games vs twins. Might as well be 290 at this point.

In a sick ironic twist, pitching isnβt what will end the Twins season. What have been incredibly active bats will be the death of a season as they fall silent.

So in game 1 people say he is a moron for not bringing in the horses in a tight game. And now he's an idiot for bringing in his horses to keep it tight game.
Can't make it up.
