I don't really care one way or the other about the Brewers. I don't want them to win it all but I don't actively cheer against them or anything either.

Looking for a bounce back game today, they've done that all year after a bad one

Mondeci just left the game due to injury. That stinks, even though he kills us he's fun to watch.

IIRC he had the same injury as Buxton earlier this season and was advised not to dive for anything until next year because he may reinjure himself. Apparently it happened.

The Twins remind me of the Gopher hockey team that had big leads and gave them away.

Yep - that is what they were discussing. Telling him not to dive....good luck with that with a player as good as he is.

Sano goes yard again!
Bremer was conspicuously subdued in both calls, especially since the first one may not have landed yet.

How many quality starts do the Twins have since, say, Sept 1 or Aug 1? Doesn't seem easy to search that.

This team is gonna have to win games 8-6...
They have bounced back with a win/good game so many times this year after a clunker last night...resilient

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
Cleveland is not cooperating...it very well may take 3 more Twin wins to officially end this.
Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
I would certainly hope the Twins get at least four wins out of six against two 100 loss teams that both have more than 50 losses at home...

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
I am sure season ticket holders wouldn't mind swapping some H and A results.

Hopefully though since they won't host at least the first round it will help them come playoffs. Assuming they can continue bombing.
I have to imagine their runs scored in losses has to be ranked fairly high in league history, and I'm curious what was the highest post-season team ERA to ever win a WS.
Currently under construction.
Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
50 away wins going up against two 50 loss/100 total loss teams for six games. 100 wins should definitely be in the cards and maybe a chance for the HR race but I'd say 100 is more likely.

Last year's Twins team had a better home record than this year's team by three games. I'm not sure anyone would take that swap.

If the Twins can’t manage 3-3 against the bottom of the division then I won’t be upset if Cleveland sneaks ahead.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
The Twins have a lot of nice perks for season ticket holders: raise the Twins Territory flag (that was actually pretty fun); be in the Mascot race (my son won as Babe). They also have movie nights--they have some free food and ice cream. Sit outside in the Delta Club seats. Some were kids movies and we brought our Grandchildren. Tonight they are having a viewing party for the game at the stadium. We can get there early and play catch on the field and a few other activities. Then go to the Bat and Barrel to watch the game, with free food and drinks (Likely non-alcoholic) provided. WinTwins! (And we just have a 20 game season ticket)

I've totally come around on Cave. I was frustrated last season and when he first came up this year, but he's grown on me. He's come up with some big hits and plays his position pretty well...no Byron Buxton, but who is?
Last night was the hockey equivalent of the fourth line getting all the goals. Good to see. Even better, Odorizzi had a nice turn.

Cabrera scores from first on a double.
The ball was hit to the deepest part of center field which is a long way.
I don't want to say Miggy is slow but I did run to the washroom during the play.

Dobnak has to be the game 3 starter if the Twins make the playoffs. I have 0 confidence in Moonshot Gibson.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread
Dobnak would “start” game 2, but only as the opener. The idea would be to be a bullpen game like they have done recently. It’s a bad idea to do that in games 3 & 4. It would be too taxing to the bullpen on back to back days. At least with games 2 & 4 they would have an extra day off to rest.fightclub30 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25 7:05 pmPeople are saying game 2. I have 0 confidence in Moonshot Gibson.
