Scouting report on Rosario. Don’t throw him a strike.

Couldn't have hit any of them with a boat paddle...I love him though, he can do that then hit a big one at any moment

Just think how good he could be if he worked the count in his favor.

While Cron has been frustrating at the plate, he has made a few great plays at first tonight.

What a great throw!

Only in Fenway could a pop up to left lead to a play at the plate.

Our manager should get as much credit as anyone for that win, not just the tortuga PH but the bullpen usage/sequencing.

Cron was cutting off on that throw to the plate and had his hand up in celebration before the ball even got to Castro. :D

Two hits, lots of guys left on base, double plays...had the look of a loss all night, but pitchers battled. This was as close to a playoff type game as they have had...not a lot of offensive opportunities on either side and a couple defensive gems for the Twins made the difference.

Great to see the Twins "out Fenway" the Sox. :)

Another nice road run capped off by 2 of 3against a playoff hungry Redsox. Do the Twins let down in the key series at home against the Indians? They could pretty much bury them this weekend.

I would guess gunning someone out at the plate from the outfield is probably an even greater feeling than hitting a home run. Especially in a situation like that. Eddie was pumped.

I was always taught that you do not get thrown out on taking an extra base for the last out.

Two outs and desperately in need for a tying run, absolutely send him there. That was a perfect play off the wall and a perfect throw from fairly deep in the field. It took both to get the out.

Did Boston insert a pinch runner at first? If they didn't, maybe they should have.

Probably a predictable slow start to the game after 10 games on the road and a very emotional late game in Boston last night then a long flight home...I'm expecting this to be one of those games where they spark in the 2md half of the game

Cave leaves the game after coming up lame on a single to right. Later in the 5th Cruz has some pain in his left wrist and has the trainer come check on him. He did stay in to finish the at-bat (grounded into double play) but definitely didn't look thrilled with whatever happened.

Really don't like the decision to go to Thorpe here instead of keeping Stashak in.
Santana is hitting like 60 points higher right handed than left handed and I'd have to imagine Thorpe's numbers are not overwhelmingly dominant against RHH.

Hopefully it works out.

Looks like Schoop will be punch hitting for Cruz in the 10th. Cruz did have one other at-bat after the supposed injury but hopefully this is just precautionary.

Wild Pitch haunts as Cleveland scores on a single (following an intentional walk). 3-2 Top 11 with 2 outs.

Well that should do it. Another single, 2 runs score 6-2. Just need to get out of this inning without using even more pitching and do better tomorrow. Twins have a losing record in extra innings this year. Bullpen cannot hold on.

Cleveland has batted around in the 11th.
Don't see us doing the same, especially being in the middle-bottom of our order. Unfortunate.

I'd say Cron's brutal misplay haunts more than the WP. He won't get an error on the play because Arraez made an unbelievable play to save an out, but if Cron fields that ball they have one out and runner on first at worst. Quite possibly a double play.

Anybody else notice Eddie Rosario’s lousy AB’s lately. Swinging at pitches way out of the zone. Basically getting himself out.
I don’t want him to turn into Joe Mauer at the plate, but a little more plate discipline would be great.

I would say unbelievable but Minnesota.

And NY is catching up in the HR race.

Every team every year has a team they seem to have trouble with, looks like ours is Cleveland...not ideal...

Win one of these next 2 games and everything's cool...

The way we've been playing on the road we will probably go there next weekend and smoke them...

Need Marwin back to help in the OF...

Agreed about Rosie, seems to be out front and rolling over a lot especially 1st pitch...then you look up and he's hitting in the .280's...must be doing something

Cron's thumb seems to be bugging him a lot, more than we know probably

Scoop at DH works for me until Cruz comes back

I'm still good with where we're at...get in the tourney and anything can happen

Cripes. Other teams don't walk the bases loaded often, but they sure have been with the Twins lately. Would be nice to get some runs out of it sometime.

Francona let him have it.

I've been saying this for awhile, why not give teams a ball/strike challenge or 2 per game? I get not having every pitch done electronically, but give teams a chance on the 1 or 2 really bad ones in key situations...everybody's happy
