Sure. But it's a lot easier to score runs when guys who should reach base via walk get the free base when umpires don't call pitches out of the zone strikes.

BINGO...hard to hit with your hands firmly gritting your throat. They are just a completely different team in the playoffs. It’s truly unbelievable. 17 straight losses over 15 years. I’m not sure how that’s even remotely possible.

....Cruz is the DH. He has no impact on defense.

Hopefully BTN picks up a fair number of games. I typically watch them on DVR anyway as I am busy most Friday and Saturday nights during the season.

There has been one consistent thing through all of it. But, even if you go there the Vikings have had many many owners and it hasn't mattered. The professional hockey team has had many owners, and completely different franchises and it didn't matter.

So, it boils down to one thing. Minnesota. That's the consistent entity across all of it.

I agree but to be honest I did watch quite a few games this year and it always seemed like the hitting just wasn't there all that much. Not sure why.

When you stop expecting anything it's not as bad. Don't give any money (tickets or merch) to any of the big four teams. Don't watch regular season games with full attention or regularly. Find a non MN sport to watch: I picked F1.

Only ever expect a championship from Gopher hockey, and they look to be a few years away still.

I am not a big baseball guy but I enjoy watching the Twins and love to go to outdoor games. I have to imagine this is great news for the Twins and the Saints.

I've always wanted to get to the new stadium. I was at the Phillies' AAA stadium a few years ago (in Allentown PA). From a fan experience, the Saints run their program similarly to the Iron Pigs so they should fit in very well as a AAA team.

Mike Veeck is a hell of an interesting guy. In an interview with the Pioneer Press in July, Saints co-owner Mike Veeck was asked if he was opposed to being an affiliate. “Not with the right club, I’m not,” he said.
