This is not going well...Odo gives up 7 hits and has gotten 9 outs, now he’s hurt by a comebacker to the ribs.

The volume of the piped in crowd noise in Cleveland is really obnoxious. I think they have it set at World Series Game 7 Level.

It sounds like a freeway, not a crowd. There are some high pitched noises coming out of my tv.

I like GPL because politics aren't allowed. I watch sports for the same reasons... to forget about life for a while and get away from news/politics. If this is going to be the new normal, I'll have to find other ways to spend my time.

Politicians didn't vote on it, they didn't enact policy, they didn't force action nor any decisions to be made. I'm not a big fan of it myself but it's not a political issue.

However it absolutely would likely lead to a contentious discussion so that is all I will say on it.

They don’t want the players sitting around for hours together in the clubhouse, and It’s easier to just give up and reschedule when you don’t have to worry about the fans. (And there was enough chance of periodic Storms that would continue to cause delays)

Looking at it, they had a good line of thunderstorms in the area all afternoon, and there's only going to be about a 2 hour break before several more hours of storms.

Until yesterday they were on a better record pace than they were in 2019. Despite having as many injuries as they've had.
If most fans expected better I'd wonder why.🤷‍♂️

Ahhh the ole "Buy high, sell low, buy high" strategy.

The Twins haven't been that bad, but with a short season, one bad stretch of games hurts a lot more. They've gone from like 110-win pace to 90-win pace in like a series or two. It also doesn't help that Cleveland and the White Sox have figured it out and Detroit's young pitching is coming along so the division isn't a joke anymore. But this is why it was so frustrating last year at the deadline when they went bargain bin shopping with Dyson and Romo and decided to start an Uber driver at Yankee Stadium instead of getting another starter. You don't get to pick when your window to win is open.

Yes.
Which leads me to believe Buxton and Donaldson are close to returns (they are playing simulated games in St. Paul). Pineda is back in a week or two also and has reportedly been throwing full bore to be ready to step in as soon as his suspension lifts.

To their credit, they did get the same guy out twice though. Meanwhile, Dick Bremer screaming about a triple play on a play they only got one out is one for the highlight reel.

Well there is a play you don't see everyday.
The Twins did their best to avoid a double play. :)
Meanwhile, Dick Bremer screaming about a triple play on a play they only got one out is one for the highlight reel.
That was gold.

That was a clown-show by Arraez. He was fooled because everybody stayed on a base. Throw home, then third. Easy double play. Chance for a triple play at 2nd.

Or even tag the guy that’s 18 inches from you and not on base?

What is the first thing they teach you when you catch a ball in the outfield? Cover it with your other hand!

Well if Kepler can hit a four run homer with one guy on base I’ll forgive him.

True story. Attending a Little League game of mine, my mom yelled out, with 1 guy on base, "C'MON HIT A GRAND SLAM!!!!!!!!!"

Any word on who will replace him in the booth?

Please, God, don't let it be Roy Smalley.

But how will we know what a pitcher’s record, era, and strikeouts are when he enters the game?
