Can you call it a season if it doesn't make it to double digit games?

Well that 0.700 BA for Miguel Rojas is unlikely to ever be beaten.

Gotta believe Cruz is a shoo in for MVP.

For Cy Young, probably Ross Detwiler. Didn't allow a baserunner all year.

Fien isn't necessarily wrong but bringing it up makes him look small and petty. Would anyone seriously be shocked if Nelson Cruz got popped for PED's?

You know it's a good year when it's Opening Day at Target Field and there is zero chance of snow on the radar.

What is the MLB testing protocol. Do players get tested every day, before each series...?

So if the season keeps going, score 16,000 runs again and then pray for a pitching miracle in the playoffs?

I'm against the fake crowd noise in any sport at this point. But I also don't like cars with fake exhaust sounds in the cabin these days.

But yes, they are likely paying to have them done this frequently. And it likely is not cheap.

Yeah that wouldn't be terrible if you could get three red ones.

Those are different from the ones I'm talking about, though. In the dugout Baldelli and a few others are wearing blue ones that have a very large TC logo off center to the left side. Really sharp. I'm still going bananas nor being able to find a photo.

Why is this Cleveland pitcher allowed to have the silver necklace hang outside the jersey? I thought that wasn't allowed. Or only because nobody has complained yet?

Not allowed in youth baseball, but there is no rule against jewelry in MLB.

I thought there were some rules put in place for jewelry due to the Rona, but unsure. Normally, no, no rules against it. That being said, wearing jewelry in sportsball? Why??

No one complained. The umpires don’t initiate that kind of stuff (also base coaches not in the coaching box, other ancillary stuff). If someone complains, they will I force for everyone. Like the curve in a hockey stick.

Sergio Romo was wearing something on Tuesday night on how wrist. The batter complained and the ump made him take it off. He gave the “are you kidding me” look to the ump.

Why is this Cleveland pitcher allowed to have the silver necklace hang outside the jersey? I thought that wasn't allowed. Or only because nobody has complained yet?

Not allowed in youth baseball, but there is no rule against jewelry in MLB.
Pitchers are not allowed to wear anything on either hand/wrist. Not even a bandaid

And that's why he was allowed to wear it while Romo was required to remove his bracelet.

BUT, I thought there were additional rules due to the Rona. No one really cares except the Karens/Kens. That's the question here.

Sorry, it just caught me as weird per the Romo thing the other night. It's shiny, and moves when he moves. I thought it had to be under the jersey if allowed at all. If batters whined about an evergreen tree, non metallic, moving in center field, I could see someone complaining about a moving, shiny necklace on the pitcher. Was just curious.

I think I've seen umps ask a pitcher to get the necklace under the shirt after a batter complains, but not make them take it off.

Good work by Roy Smalley the past few nights. He picked up in Sano dropping his hands again like he did last year when he struggled. First at bat tonight Sano keeps his hands up and murders a fastball for a 1-0 lead.

Maeda better than good again; Rogers looked almost unhittable. Holding Cleveland to 3 runs total through three games is real nice.

I'll channel Bonin21 and point out that since it appears that this is a really nice team that the season has a good chance of being cancelled.

If you’re a Cleveland fan that’s gotta be a pretty disappointing series except you’d have to be happy that they somehow managed win one game.

Welcome to MN. Of course, the odds for any team to win a title are relatively low. The worst sting is for UND and UMD fans. Bummer lol

That's some damn fine work by the pitching staff.

Gave up 4 runs in 4 games to that lineup? Nice work.

I read elsewhere Cleveland's rotation would put the Twins in their place. It's only one series but the Twins sure answered.

They actually did do a good job of quieting the Twins offense down. The Twins pitching was even better, though.

The Twins only scored 10 runs in 4 games, so the Cleveland pitching staff did a nice job (especially Bieber). But the Twins staff answered the bell.

7-2, and 5-2 against the two closest division competitors we'll likely have.

I am surprised they are playing so many games vs NL with a 60 game schedule.

10% of their games are against Milwaukee alone. Is this purely to keep play/travel regional?

Yes, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's 40 games with AL Central and 20 with NL Central.

Which is part off why the city or Toronto didn't allow the Blue Jays to play in Toronto. They didn't want people traveling from FL to Canada given Florida's current COVID outbreak, and they would have played the Marlins and Rays quite a few times.

This is fun. I hope they are allowed to continue. (Provided people are following the rules/guidelines)
