From what the radio announcers said Cruz suggested the umpire was not very good at his job.

I don't understand the Bremer hate. You really would have gotten your undies in bunch if you were around in the Herb Carneal/Halsey Hall era. Sure, Dick's not perfect but why anyone would let little things bother them so much is a mystery to me. We beat the Indians in the middle of a pennant race and we want to talk about the play by play guy?

Mini rant over.

You're reading too much into it. People commenting on something doesn't mean they're outraged. So it turns out, based on you calling your post a rant, you've let a little thing bother you.

People are able to give Bremer crap and enjoy the Twins season at the same time. It is possible.

Outfield depth move. Not eligible for playoffs.
With Cave banged up and Buxton still unable to swing a bat, along with Marwin still on the shelf with his oblique injury, they wanted to bring somebody in that can help out a little.

Wasn't really a big fan of using Cron to PH there in the 7th with bases loaded.
Bases loaded one out and back to back Ks end the inning. Bummer.

His job was to get on base and get Garver to the plate, which basically meant "don't swing" given Hand's current control issues. When he swung at that high one to make it 1-2, I got a bad feeling.

Oh well. The Indians have their number this year, especially here in MPLS. Had to win one, which they did. Still 5.5 up.

When you're in Minnesota and don't like mediocrity you have to find something to be happy about in sports from time to time.
Lead us out of Loserville, Bob.
104 big four seasons with no finals appearance
Times advanced in playoffs last 15 seasons: Vikings 3, Wild 2, Twins 0, Wolves 0
1967 last football conference title, 1982 last basketball conference title, 2003 last hockey national championship

With all of MLB on pace to beat the previous HR record (2017) by 10% due to juiced baseballs it only means the Twins hit more HR THIS year than all other teams.

Considering they play an imbalanced schedule with more games against ChiSox, KC, and Detroit than the Yankees who play more games against Tampa and Boston, I’d say it isn’t close to saying the Twins are the best HR hitting team ever, or maybe even this year.

Per Aaron Gleeman:
Twins are the best-hitting team in baseball without the bases loaded, batting .272/.342/.500 with 274 home runs.

Twins are the worst-hitting team in baseball with the bases loaded, batting .215/.221/.318 with one home run.

Twins with the bases loaded:
They've totaled 23 hits and 12 double plays.
Kepler/Cruz are 10-for-24 (.417).
All other Twins are 13-for-83 (.156).
Schoop (8), Sano (6), Cave (3), Castro (3), Adrianza (2) are a combined 0-for-22.
Cron is 2-for-15 (.133) with three double plays.

Twins are going to shatter nearly every team hitting record, but their .539 OPS with the bases loaded is second-worst in team history.

It would also be the fourth-worst OPS with the bases loaded by any AL division winner *ever*, behind the 1981 Yankees, 1977 Royals, 2012 Tigers.

Three players need to step up big time for the Twins to hang on and win the division.

Berrios
Gibson
Rosario

If they don’t . Stick a fork in ‘em.

At the risk of gooching it. With Cleveland being 6 back in the loss column with 17 games left, it’s over already. The postseason? Yes, you are on the money.

This could go in many threads, but since it relates to the Twins, I will pop it here. I wish LaVelle E Neal III would be more active on twitter with info. I guess I'm spoiled with Russo and his use of social media, but it seems I have to follow about 5 guys on twitter to get any Twins info. He hasn't tweeted out any of the Buxton news yet today. Reuse tweets out more Twins news than he does. Plus, it seems like he takes off a ton of series. He should be the #1 Twins source in the Cities, but I'm guessing he is not a big fan of twitter or he is too lazy to do it.

Probably a good night for berrios to have a strong outing...Rosie has looked like something's bothering a wheel the whole 2nd half...ankle? Cron looks like that thumb bothers him every swing...Kepler's swings Sunday didn't look very comfortable...need gonzo back to solidify OF...geesh he's been valuable, he was a rock at 3b the first month before sano came back...

Long term I see arraez at 2b, polanco at ss, everyone says sano at 1b but I think he's growing as a 3b...wonder if Garver could go to 1b to keep his bat in the lineup everyday long term...catchers are mostly temporary, he's too good of a hitter for that punishment

If we can make it into the tournament you really only need 3 starters...have Perez or Gibson whoever isnt 3rd then go to BP

Bummer that bux is done for the year, was hoping he could come back and be a spark...cave is at least an avg MLB player, get him healthy
