I've read all the Sanford books that have made it to paperback (I read in odd places and find paperbacks easier to handle). Both Prey and Flowers plus the few one-off books. One of the authors whose books I keep too instead of selling back to Half Price Books.

Yes, meat thermometer. My electric smoker maintains temp quite well but I've run through about 5 meat thermometers over the past 10 years or so. They all seem to drift pretty quickly.

One problem is I can't seem to find a reliable thermometer. The one I was using was saying 180 when it was done so 195-200. I bet it was in an hour longer than needed.

Done and great. Now to cool off enough for the fridge. Took a big chunk to the neighbor who constantly does stuff for us. It was 14.4 lbs. before trimming. Had to cut in two to fit in the smoker.

I went to the barber the last day they were open. It's getting a little shaggy but no one really cares. My kid really needed a haircut and tried to go the first day they were all closed. For a while his hair looked a little like Lyle Lovit now it's just a mess. I may become a barber for him soon.
