For those of us who haven’t paid attention, why is the B1G allowing non conference play for basketball, but not football or hockey? There was no time for non-conference with football. What should have been the call on the obvious penalty during the breakaway against an empty net? I believe in that scenario it's a penalty with the result being an automatic goal. If he had possession of the puck, then yes, any penalty that stops a breakaway on an empty net is an automatic goal (sa...

I love that they're even doing the stick salute for the sweep. Didn't matter to the results, but that absolutely should have been a penalty at the end on the empty-net breakaway. I'm guessing they decided he didn't have possession to award a goal on it, but should at least have been interference, he...

This is starting to remind me of Gopher teams of the past when they could give up a goal late in the period, but fight back and get another on the board themselves before the period ran out. Need to keep this going, but so far, liking it.

Even assuming that the vaccines are fully approved (not doubting they will, based on current results, but things could change)... it's still unlikely that we'll have enough of the population vaccinated before mid-summer at the earliest, and likely autumn before it's where they'd allow spectators.

Shootout Losses: 1pt

Does that make sense?

Re: 2020-2021 Gopher Hockey Season Thread - Year 100 of Pride On Ice

PWR breaks down at that point (as in, literally, it doesn't give accurate data). Back when MAAC and CHA first moved up to D1, they actually had a clause in the tournament selection guideline to be able to exclude high-PWR teams if they played too insular of a schedule.

Almost certainly a flight most years, and definitely not until they have the new arena. Depends on when in the schedule it fell. Mid-January in Arizone? Sure, I'll take a long weekend flight for that.

If it does land it may be in The Philippines.
Glasnow didn't even bother to look back to see the arc, and the catcher barely glanced up before lowering his head in disgust.

So with ASU being added to B$N schedule and all games played at B$N locations does that mean they will play a all road game schedule?
That's what I'm wondering.

For the future, I think I'd actually like a road-trip to Tempe every couple of years.

I’ll forgive them for this season and will hate having to watch on delay but it’s better than nothing! Well, I guess I hope they still televise most games - and as long as they don’t get to liking that kind of schedule and think that will fly in the future! With any luck, there will be more games a...

And being a commoner didn't help either (but it was the divorces that really caused the problem)

Are you talking about the ultra-thin, essentially smooth cloths? Or the larger thicker ones? The thicker ones, I've machine washed forever. The small ultra-thin ones, I just hand-wash in the hottest water I can stand and then air-dry

YouTube TV is losing the Fox Regional Sports Networks on October 1st. Looks like I’ll be looking for a new streaming service. Google has managed to take another fantastic product and find a way to screw it up. They’ve turned it into another Comcast/DirecTV complete with frequent price increases and...

How does one get the job as cup chaperone? That would be so awesome.
I think he's a curator at the Hall of Fame, so, probably apply for a job there and wait for him to retire as keeper. He's been escorting the cup since the 80s, but I'd bet he's got people lined up already.

Hey, at least you got to attend an Oktoberfest this year....!
Given that it couldn't be in Germany, I'd say it was a fun substitute.
