I agree about the Fleck comparison. It seems that Fleck has shown you can accelerate a re-build with recruiting the right talent and coaching them up to their capabilities, even in a sport that MN did not historically have competitive advantages for. I think if you can't show improvement or sustained competitiveness in a 3-year window personally, asking if he's the right guy and evaluating the outlook is warranted. First year is totally an understandable wash. 3 years in this market I think is fair to holistically assess.

Yeah you have to think Boyd will get a shot eventually, in Washington or somewhere else. 93 points in 122 AHL games isn't a bad clip.

I'm still processing the whole situation if he stays in Muskegon. We've covered all the possible reasons - we need scoring and he could (predicting) bring that, don't understand the waiting game. Especially if he gets drafted the clock already begins ticking
