Ice Breaker cancelled.... Moved to next year, where Minnesota already has another commitment on that weekend.

Okay.... The server software update is done. It appears to be up and running okay.

I did get a few weird errors when I first loaded the main WordPress site, but a refresh seemed to fix things.

My provider will need to backup the entire site in order to do the update. So I will shut down the board before they do this. This will give us a frozen point in time that they can get it all updated. Then once we are ready to go, I can turn the site back on. How long will we be down? Who knows... I...

In the coming day(s), GPL could be down for a few hours. I need to have the server operating system software upgraded. The version we are currently on will no longer be supported in November. So I figured this is a good time to get it all up to date. Hopefully we come through on the other side!

I would probably use the dark theme more at night if there was a way to quickly turn it on and off from the portal page. I think it's pretty solid. I like the dark theme of maroon as opposed to just black. Only thing I noticed that is not perfect are the smilies having white around some of them. :dup: :biggrin2: :shock: :cry: Yeah.... those old animated gifs are a lost cause. I remember seeing the original Christopher Reeve Superman at the Southtown theater in 1978. That was when Southtown was still a single theater with 1100 seats and a HUGE screen. It was quite the experience... And how can you not love Thor?

Vegoe and I were part of the Zoom meeting with Motzko yesterday... I got the feeling that Motzko just wants uniformity across all of the leagues. He likes what the NCHC wants to do, but whatever the "best" solution is.... just make it uniform.

The Big Ten is looking at alternate scheduling if the pandemic drags into the fall. One option is just playing the Big 10 schedule (no fans) starting in December.
