Re: Only in Wisconsin

I was surprised to see large expanses of "white" in the SE states of Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama. Maybe that's because a relatively large portion of the good folks down there have their own backyard breweries and/or distilleries because they can't afford to buy their booze in the store? I'm su...

I still use a checkbook (balanced and everything!), turn on my lights with a switch on the wall, and read books and magazines - with pages made of paper! I even own a car that does not have a screen in it.

Am I officially old?
Yes. I also do all the exact same things. :good2:

Re: Gopher Offseason 2021...

Seriously, what does a person w/o a smartphone do if he wants to go to a game? I would guess they would be able to look up your account at the ticket office. Or possibly you could print off your ticket. I’ve done that before. Also, honest question but how many people in 2021 don’t have a smart phon...

Re: WEATHERMANIA

Another tornado warning. First it was at work in Burnsville, now at home in Apple valley (we live on the Rosemount border). Try quickly catching parakeets to throw in a smaller cage to transport downstairs. Of course by the time I got them the rain was over. 😆 Chirp, chirp, mother :censored: . ;) S...

Re: Simple Pleasures...

Today’s our wedding anniversary. 31 years! I told Superstar this was a good time for a wedding :good2: Favorite memory: I wore a very pale pink wedding dress. My Grandmother didn’t like it and said “you should be wearing a white dress, everyone knows a bride should be wearing white.” I turned to her...

Treasure Of The Sierra Madre (HBO Max): Two Americans searching for work in Mexico convince an old prospector to help them mine for gold in the Sierra Madre Mountains. This has been on my list for quite a while, if only for the infamous "badges" quote. Solid movie, throughout. It has partnership, b...

@Kelly Red how long have you guys owned your place? Daryl has had the friendliest dogs since I was a toddler. My kids love Diesel and I just told my 12 year old Diesel passed and he teared up. My husbands family bought property on the island in the early 70s when he was a kid. They camped for sever...

Re: Gopher Offseason 2021...

Of course, I wouldn't be able to get in til Saturday, and I'm sure everything I'd care about will be long gone by then. But, good to have it back, that's for sure. Yeah, I was disappointed to see it started Friday. I would have loved to see the jersey selection! Since I will probably never get to g...

Iron Maiden, but HTF are Tina Turner and Dionne Warwick not already in? That’s a travesty.

Re: Gopher Football 2021

It wasn’t scalpers if they limited the tickets to 2 per order. True. Still super odd that 10k were scooped up with maybe 1-2k in person the last "Regular" spring game. I am sure most of the tickets will go unused. I don’t find it odd at all. People are :censored: desperate to return to normal...
