Re: This might be a dumb question, but...

Eliminating as much sugar and processed carbohydrates is the best thing someone can do for their health in regards to diet. It all starts there. If people did nothing more than this the health quotient in this country would sky rocket. Simple sugars and carbs are the underlying cause of obesity (wi...

Re: 2021 Frozen Four Pittsburgh (Apr 8 & 10)

Jan Brady has the worst fan base in college hockey. Angry white trash with zero hockey knowledge. Eff that whole garbage town. Yes, I'm still bitter about them throwing batteries at Gopher players at the national concrete center about 15 years ago. Did that actually happen? It doesn’t make sense du...

Re: 2021 Frozen Four Pittsburgh (Apr 8 & 10)

Well that was interesting! StC made 3 big mistakes early on and it cost them 1-2-3. They never recovered from that. Actually sort of a boring game when it’s a blow out like that. More excitement off the ice. The jackbag UMD foursome I mentioned earlier...they got kicked out before the first period ...

Re: 2021 Frozen Four Pittsburgh (Apr 8 & 10)

For those in Pitt - I’m curious if you have seen an increase in people wearing Polaris jackets since Thursday night? :giggle: It’s much too warm and sunny for that attire! The hockey jersey/baggy shorts is everywhere, no matter which team. I’ll be interested to see the mix today, did folks make the...

Not to rip on the kid personally, but the words "further my education at UND" have been uttered by approximately no one transferring from RPI. Especially if he was in one of the many engineering programs they have there.
I read that sentence and my reaction was    :rotflmao:

Re: 2021 Frozen Four Pittsburgh (Apr 8 & 10)

I would be interested in your overall thoughts about the Frozen Four this year after you get back. How was the atmosphere in the arena, what about the overall buzz around town. Were bars full etc. A couple of observations already... Pittsburgh itself is fun. We have a hotel down by the river (a rea...

I’ll admit I’ve never understood the “Jack ass fans” comment for Duluth, but we witnessed a prime example last night, up close and personal, UMD group of 4 near us, starting with screaming UMD. UMD during the introduction of the UMass team. That’s just rude. Then the whining, the screaming, the laun...

Re: Simple Pleasures...

First weekend at the lake this year. We closed it down the 3rd weekend in September last fall (normally middle to end of October) due to remodeling our upper level of our house. It’s been a long time, but to be here with 60+ degrees, no snow on the ground and able to do some yard work is pretty awe...

My brother came up for a quick visit. I found Alphonso mangos at the mercato. We’ve practically made ourselves ill indulging in a childhood memory. We spent our early childhood in India (parents were both teachers), mangos were our favorite fruit and the woman who cared for us always had them in th...

And off we go!! Have a few things planned for Pittsburgh, hubby’s frat buddy lives there so meeting for dinner Friday. It will be weird with the limited crowd, but expect good hockey. Enjoy. We look forward to Boston next year. Yes! With the Gophers in attendance. So many things to do and good plac...

Re: NCAA Hockey 2020-2021 Season

"Gopher reject! clap clap clap-clap-clap Gopher reject!" Not classy. Wahhhh the students have been chanting it for how many decades? He knows what he's signing up for and he's not a kid. To me this is different because it is more personal. He was a member of this team and may have literally been re...
