Re: MLB News

One rule I would like to see in MLB. Whatever body armor your wear while batting must remain with you while you are on the bases. You can take it off and put in your back pockets, similar to batting gloves. Or you hold it and still wear it. Just whatever you think you need while you bat. Needs to b...

Anyone been to Nanne's steakhouse? I'm curious if the hockey nostalgia plus the food make for a worthwhile experience.
Yes... the food is great. Though the hockey nostalgia is less than I expected.
Any recommendations on the food?

Anyone have a reco on a set of bluetooth headphone/earbuds? Someone recommended the Powerbeats 3, but not sure if that is worth the $200 or just the name brand of Apple and Beats Not sure if you're looking for them to workout with, but Men's Health just posted this article on best workout headphone...

Re: Home Ownership

Anyone ever go through the process of building a new house? We are starting discussions to build with Capstone Homes so any feedback on the builder themselves, questions or concerns to bring to the table about the process, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM if you don't want to air ...

Re: Got Beer?

Badger Hill is releasing Todd Haug's last brew in MN tomorrow at Noon. It's called HEXIT. From their FB page ( https://www.facebook.com/events/1779841422280807/ ): Haug + Exit = HEXIT HEXIT is a Braggot IPA with loads of oats and honey flavor with dry hop aroma of mic drop proportions. Think of it a...

Re: The All-Encompassing Jersey Thread

Thoughts on the 6 stars on the sconnie jerseys above the nameplate? I like the concept of the stars, not sure exactly where I like them to be though. Didn't we have them on the sleeves of the golds in the past handful of years? I really like them, wish the Gophers did it, too. Doesn't BC have stars...

Re: Southern California

Heading to SoCal in July for my annual baseball trip. Hitting Dodgers and Padres but will be in town for 4 days. Looking for suggestions on what attractions to take in. Our family (to the disgust of probably most on this board) are big Disney fans and have been to Disneyworld many times. Went to Di...

I have never heard anything good about Lego Land. My parents took my two older ones when they were around 6 and 8 and they didn't really like it. One of my coworkers went last year and said it really wasn't worth it either. If you guys want to do an amusement park, Disneyland and California Adventu...

Re: Travel

Going to San Diego in April over Spring Break with the family (my kids are 8 and 9.). Already on the agenda are Sea World, Lego Land, the USS Midway tour, and touring Petco Park (the Padres stadium). I know the SD Zoo is world famous, but I think we're going to skip that (my kids aren't really into...

Re: Got Beer?

This most likely is a dumb question. I was at Dangerous Man this past weekend and noticed some Surly logos on some of the glassware and t-shirts. Is there some type of relationship between the two?

As long as the leaves aren't TOO deep I just keep using the lawn mower to mulch them in. Free fertilizer! I have too many trees to do that. I can get away with it right now while there aren't a ton of leaves. Once they all start dropping at once it's just too many. At a certain point I do too, but ...

Re: Tee to Green!

My dad and I are going out Sunday. Can't wait. Crowds will be fun. I was out there yesterday (Friday) and it was a blast. I got to the 1st Tee Grandstand at 5:30 (volunteering so I got to get in before the public) and for the 2 hrs before the first tee shot, there were a lot of friendly bantering b...

Re: Travel

Has anyone flown into or out of Ontario (CA) International? It's much closer to where I need to be than LAX is, but it's also a lot more expensive to fly into, has no non-stop options, and has far fewer flight choices than LAX. Is not having to drive 50 miles inland thru L.A. traffic worth the trad...
