Twins NEVER get a close call against the Yankees. That is a pitch Yankee pitchers have gotten against the Twins before. Umps often give a little extra.

Two walks and a hit batsman loads the bases (no hits). That is just asking for trouble.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2014-2020: Here's Your Damn Thread

Homer runs are always huge but big innings normally involve walks and shoddy defenses. This year's team can hit home runs with the Yankees but can they avoid giving up too many walks and defensive mistakes? You can't hand good team extra outs/runs.

The pitchers come up huge pitching a five hit shutout with no extra base hits given up. Well that's a win so today is a wash at worst. So who will pitch later? With the expanded September rosters the Twins currently have 19 pitchers on the team. With Michael Pineda suspended and not designating some...

A really good 4 game road sweep (which doesn't happen that often) to go back up 2.5 games (3 in the loss column). At 76-48 the Twins are currently on pace for 99 wins. Every team goes through a slump. And every team goes through a surge. The MN/CLE arcs happened to cross at the exact best/worst time for both teams, and now we're seeing it go back to what it was (I hope).
