I watched recently a replay of Dale Sr’s fatal crash and I couldn’t believe it. Compared to some NASCAR crashes that I’ve seen on TV (clips..I don’t really have any interest in NASCAR) it seemed so minor. I mean the car hit the wall hard but you see some of those vehicles get tossed all over the pl...

Re: Motorsport

Ryan Newman was released from the hospital today...holding his daughter's hands as he walked out...without shoes on. They probably told him he was released and he got dressed, grabbed his daughter's hands, and George Jefferson'd the hell out of that hospital! NASCAR safety has come a long way....

Re: NCAA hockey 2019-20 season

From what I've read in a couple articles since Michigan Tech is the caretaker of the trophy, it will go with them. But Bowling Green was the team that held the naming rights and trophies for the CCHA, so those could be used. I looked it up and the MacNaughton was used as the CCHA regular season trop...

Re: NCAA hockey 2019-20 season

I'm glad that the WCHA is dying because everytime I see those WCHA banners in the rafters here in Mankato, I feel like going up there and adding an asterisk to every one of them. It's the WCHA...but is it really the WCHA?

Re: WEATHERMANIA

From what started as maybe 1-2" turned into over 6" here in Mankato, New Ulm got it worse with over 10"! Roads were a mess early this morning but now they are just wet thanks to the sun and the salt. I'm thankful that I moved a lot of the big drifts yesterday morning here at work so that our plow gu...

Re: 2019-2020 Gopher Hockey Season Thread

They are still selling 8200 tickets a game folks.... That is still a huge number. So changing the price will not have a huge impact. Most of those empty seats you are seeing are the 3k in no shows each game. Sorry, but this isn't true as the most empty sections at games are not those that are alrea...

Re: 2019-2020 Wild Season

Boudreau reacted to his firing exactly like I hoped he did...f'bombs and all! I like Boudreau but he is better off being away from this team. Guerin has to really put his stamp on this team to get the needle to move towards improvement this offseason...starting with who he chooses as coach and wheth...

Re: Simple Pleasures...

My son's wrestling season ended last week but my wife and I have had so much fun watching him this season. With him wrestling it renewed my love of the sport and my son and I really got to bond over the sport this winter. We've watched some Iowa wrestling, including the beatdown of the Gophers on Sa...

Re: 2019-2020 Wild Season

Don't forget that Suter needs to go as well. He is there but not even close to worth his contract now, so he and Parise are on the same level. As far as Bruce, I'm surprised but not surprised. Guerin came out after the trade and said that the team... the team couldn't quit otherwise there would be ...

Re: Things That Stick In Your Craw

Target related...I don't get the whole "I can't go to Target without buying half of the store". There is nothing in Target, Walmart, or the like that I couldn't live without. If I had a bigger disposable income there would be much better places to spend my money than Target...I just don't get it. N...
