Re: Women's hockey

They have 554 men and women athletes. They are paying all full scholarship athletes $3,400 (half scholarship is $1,700). Granted not all the 554 are on full scholarship. But at 554 people x $3,400, that's $1.88 million. And with a $1.3 million shortfall, I start to wonder how much the decision to pa...

Anyone have any experience traveling to China? My sister is going with school over spring break, and she is wondering about charging her phone/iPad. From what I've gathered so far, this is my assumption: China has the same two prong plugs as we do, the only difference is the voltage (110v vs. 220v)...

Re: Consumer Research

From what I have heard, don't ever use fix a flat unless you plan on eventually not using that rim again. The slime ends up sticking to the rim and making a nasty mess. I used it once to fix a lawnmower tire, and that was enough. Plus, you still need a compressor to refill the tire after you put fix...

Galleria Umberto is right across the street from Mike's, and has a good italian food, but small selection. It is not a real sit down restaurant, more like a small deli/cafeteria. But the food is good, and very cheap. It's the kind of place local business people go on lunch break. So if you are looki...

There's MORE than enough to keep you occupied for several days in Boston, even just doing the touristy things. And unlike some areas, the touristy things are very much worth doing. Thomps' list covers the biggies. Bunker Hill and the USS Constitution are good choices as well. I typed in the Constit...

Second post of 2: My wife and I booked a trip to Sweden for late this year (late November). We got a killer deal on flights and jumped on it, $450 each, round trip to Stockholm. Plan is to spend about 3 days in Stockholm, and then rent a car to go visit a few areas where my family's ancestry is fro...
