Good thing we got a Lottery pick otherwise we wouldn't have a pick in the 1st round of this years draft. .. . but who do the Wolves consider picking at number 6????

The cool thing about McHale drafting for the woodmutts is I know there's always a chance he'll call my name!! First round money, baby!!!!!dock wrote:GopherRube21 wrote:Ben wrote:Timberwolves get the 6th pick in the lottery. Back to watching the Soccer.

No one. McHale will trade pick 6 for a third-string center that they need.

If the hoop had been any less flexible, it would have been Joe Theisman hour on the trampoline. Funny part about that video, the kid is in pain on the mat, and the other two pick up the ball and continue to play, just like we used to do.

Necessary?? We all get that you hate hoops.
According to Grandpa Sid, the Wolves are in love with Morrisson from Gonzaga. Supposedly Morrison's agent won't let him work out for the Wolves becasue he believes he will be drafted well before the sixth spot.
tcswiz wrote:I don't think Morrison will be a star, just a serviceable backup. Of course, that is probably why mchale likes him.
MN Hockey Rules wrote:Can't complain about the shot at McHale, but to say he'll be only a serviceable backup might be a stretch. He may not have what it takes to carry a team(see NCAA tournament breakdown) as a star, but to label him as a backup may be a bit much. Either way, I'm not hoping for him to go to the Wolves.

McHale needs to go with the George Constanza attitude in the Seinfeld episode called "The Opposite". Basically, McHale needs to do everything opposite of what he would normally do. It can't be any worse than what he as done before.

1. Italian kid to Toronto
2. Blazers (trade) Aldridge from Texas
3. Bobacts take Morrison
4. Bulls (trade) Tyrus Thomas from LSU
5. Shelden Williams to Atlanta from Duke
Brandon Roy, Randy Foye or Rudy Gay?
Wolves take Washington guard Brandon Roy. Good choice. Pac-10 player of the year. Well-rounded and will definitely be our 2-guard next year.
tcswiz wrote:I'm not sure I like the trade for Foye since we could have kept Roy, drafted Gay, or at least got something more for Roy. The Blazers sure saw McHale coming. Why didn't we force the issue some more and get more than cash, how stupid especially since Portland needed Roy.

according to the announcers they have compaired Foye to Dwayne Wade and Chauncey Billups. .. . so I wouldn't say it was a bad trade

Any other GM could get a player of some sort. Or get rid of a player, too.
Beauner wrote:Is that 300k in cash going to go towards re-resigning Joe Smith?
