Huge kid, decent hands and a bit of a touch around the net. Skating is not real pretty at this point. I would guess people might want to see how he looks at the junior level before committing to him.

I think it's because some of the players listed have committed to UMD.

Unknown. although given the shortage of recruits next season, I would say it's likely he'll come in.Letteri and Nanne not on the list for Mr. Hockey?
Only seniors are eligible.
Edit: I was beaten to it while typing.

Speaking of Kloos, I was just looking at his stats on Hockey Hub and he has 30 goals on 35 shots on goal! Other top scorers in the state are in the same ballpark, but are doing against much weaker competition.

Don't believe the individual shots-on-goal stats on Hockey Hub. They are tracked in only a handfull of games.

I was at Braemar Saturday for the 2AA semis and was looking at some of the youth trophies and on the Edina Pee Wee A state champion (I'm guessing it was 2008), Lettieri was a member. He was originally an Edina kid?

Doesn't that tie the BCHL undefeated streak record?

Yes it did and they broke it tonight in a 4-3 win. Mike Reilly had a goal and an assist

No, i think he went to edina for a year to play with his cousin...tried it out, preferred tonka...

The Vees Blog wrote:One quick thought about the Reilly brothers and something that might get overlooked. I can’t imagine, one, having a brother (stuck with a sister) but playing all together in a special season before one goes down with a season-ending injury. Plenty of people can say they’re close with their brothers or they know of a close-knit family. However, all three have an uncanny passion and competitiveness that makes them so successful. Seeing one stuck on the sidelines can be devastating and a big mental hurdle; how did Mike and Ryan respond? They only way they know how. Mike had a goal and an assist in the win last night and another assist tonight (1-2-3 in 2 games); Ryan put up one goal and three points tonight. Since Connor’s injury both have combined for two goals and six points. That’s how you play for one of your own.

The Cougars scored a goal in each of the first two periods against Moorhead and then hung on to edge the Spuds 2-1 in the Class AA Third Place game. Justin Kloos the Cougars leading scorer during the regular season got an assist on Patrick Lauderdale’s first period goal and then scored the game winner late in the second. Tyler Schumacher made the two goal lead standup making 20 saves. Kloos’ winning goal came when Moorhead goaltender Michael Bitzer was without his goalie stick. The stick had been knocked out of his grasp, and a teammate had handed him their stick. But as play exited the Moorhead defensive zone no one went to retrieve his goal stick. Lakeville took back puck possession quickly and re-entered the zone with Bitzer “handicapped”. Kloos scored against the under-equipped Bitzer and a 2-0 Cougar lead. Lakeville South finishes the season with a 22-9 record. Moorhead ends their year at 22-8.

What does everyone think regarding the statement of coming to MN next year?
Will he really be coming? I know he has the skills and will be an extremely good add for us, but next year? I thought he was still pretty young and we're in pretty good shape on D to have to bring in a younger guy like Mike. I'd imagine that after this year, there won't be much left for him in Penticton and the normal progression for him assuming that he doesn't stay with everyone departing that's from MN, would lead him to where? The USHL I'm hoping. Every time I watch highlights from the BCHL, I can't help but thinking that it seems "slow". There's a lot of slow feet and puck watching going on similar to a high school game. Heck even some MN high level high school teams seem better at times. I'm thinking that a year in the USHL would help as the pace would be higher for Mike and then lead to a better incoming year at the U the year after?
Thoughts?

I'm wondering if Thompson would make the move up. He seems to be the least mobile and could theoretically get some playing time on the fourth line with most of the possibilities (Nick Larson, Miller, Sacchetti) moving on. Also, likely every shot that will be leaving will be right-handed, so that helps in that regard, as well.
How about Schmidt? I've heard he's played forward here before.
Pretty sure it was said in jest. However, you could easily move a Dman to Fwd and move that player back to the point on the PP. It is happening now on the 1st PP unit. I could see this happening with Marshall next season if things shook out that way with numbers.sec 16 row16 seat 16 17 wrote:you cant move the QB of your power play to forward SCHMIDT.
