Well, I am sure that Iowa won't take their club team into D-1 unless bronkonaturdiguy from the hole lobbies enough to start his own Iowa hockey team! :D

Puh-leeze. What's the weather like in the land of unicorns, chocolate-covered teddy bears, and gumdrop smiles? There are always plenty of reasons to boo around our great country:

A team does not deserve to be boo'd less than a month into the season. Especially when it's a rebuilding season.
I still say....if you are truely a fan....you don't boo your own team. If you are that upset about how they are playing then stay home!

I don't think I've ever seen Detroit Lions fans boo the team.

Then you obviously didn't watch much NFL last season.....

There are plenty of reason to boo...now I agree with you that the Gophers as of now don't deserve to get booed, however the examples shown above, are outstanding reasons to boo.

I have no idea where else to put this.

We just passed the Sioux hockey bus driving on 94 west. I told my boss to go back so I could moon them. I don't think he understood that I was serious.

True!

But, if people don't like it, and something new comes out, or they decide not to use it as much, then facebook will lose revenue.

Just my lame opinion... :D

I have lived in Mankato for over 3 years and since I moved here my lovely wife won't walk the extra 5 feet to buy me...cold beer. That's right, whenever she goes to the liquor store she NEVER...NEVER buys cold beer. I haven't bitched, pissed, and moaned about this for the time we have lived in Minnesota....nothing has changed. When we lived in Iowa, she always bought cold beer unless she bought it at Fareway grocery store because they don't sell cold beer. I am posting this tonight because again...she didn't buy me cold beer. I know...I know...go buy it yourself, but when she voluntarily goes because she can't figure out what she wants until she is there...she usually goes. So tonight I am drinking the Captain while listening to the game.

espn2 and/or Comcast.
ABC carries the regional national game assigned to this area (scum & Illinois today) and espn2 is assigned the other game. What's on espn2HD? ESPNews and the other game is only on espn2 standard def.

The misspelling of names of current Gophers - specifically Taylor Matson, Sam Lofquist, David Fischer, and Mike Carman. I consistently see them spelled Mattson, Loftquist, Fisher, and Carmen. Not sure why it bothers me so much but it is just hard to witness. 8)

People who are just itching for a chance to be a victim...

I voted tonight after work (Longs Creek Elementary, Precinct 3084 in the house! ). As you enter the polling places here, there are a few very large signs that outline the rules. Standard fare...no campaigning at the polling station, no voting twice, etc. One very large sign has a picture of cell phone in a circle with a line through it. It also has a notice that cell phones are not allowed in the voting booths.

So...I'm attempting to vote when the guy in the booth a couple down from mine opens up his cell phone. I didn't notice this until the polling official said, "sir - please put the phone away, state election rules do not allow that." The guy snaps back that it was in airplane mode, therefore it was not a cell phone.

This went on for a good five minutes solid.

As the guy left, he was literally shouting about his disenfranchisement...while his screamfest with the polling official ended up causing delays for the dozen or so folks waiting behind him to vote. To the credit of the polling official, he kept his cool the whole time...there's no reason for some :censored: hole like this to abuse a senior citizen who is essentially volunteering his time as an election worker.

People (Fans?) at games like the group in Section 106 at the Kohl last night who are more
interested in this stupid little gambling game where they exchange dollar bills at every fricken whistle.
What's up with this?? :anger:
Way to represent for Minnesota.

If you need to gamble that badly - maybe spare the rest of us and just go to the casino please.
One particular pathetic female Gopher fan felt the need to stand up at what seemed like every whistle
to collect a $1 bill from those around her.
Was it really necessary to stand up so everyone can see what a loser you are?
Their language was akin to what you expect in Grand Forks.
Gee - let's spend 2 and a half hours passing the same 12 one dollar bills back and forth - we are way cool!

We are not impressed that you are more interested in gambling(?) instead of watching the game.

Napkin and condiment skimping at restaurants.

My wife and I had lunch today at a place not to be named...but the home of a "funny name and a serious sandwich." While waiting for our food to be ready, I tried to find napkins...but with no luck. We found that the napkins were kept behind the counter and we were issued only one each with our meals. The same sort of thing happens at the DQ near my office - where they only give you one packet of ketchup with your fries, and act a bit put out if you request more. This kind of thing is getting to be fairly common around here.

I understand trying to manage outlay at a restaurant, but I'd have to guess that condiments and napkins aren't a huge part of your operating costs.

Trying to find a swimsuit in November.... or any other month other than May & June.

These days people are swimming at all times of the year. With indoor waterparks, pools at health clubs and warm water vacation destinations... You would think that the big retailers would keep a few swimsuits in stock year round. I have a suit, but I wanted to get and extra for my vacation. No luck. I could not find anything at Target, Kohls or Sears. My wife tried to find new suits for herself and for our girls in August and had a very difficult time getting anything decent. What is the F'n deal with that!?!?!

People swim at all times of the year, you would think the retailers would get a clue!!!

I just had this problem as well!! Me and a bunch of friends went to the dells this weekend and I haven't owned a swimsuit probably since high school. I ended up going to a bunch of stores before ending up at Sportmart. Small rack, nearly missed it.

You can thank the spammers/spambots for that. For the most part they have cracked the code on those too. Which is the reason I force all new users to answer a simple question, that a spambot cannot get past.

How is that fair?

My roomate is driving me nuts on this right now too! It has come down to him using my toiletry things like shampoo and toothpaste. He didn't ask and he didn't say that he would replace it after we were done using it, he just uses it without saying anything. I have started taking my toiletries out of the bathroom. Why does it have to come to that? I shouldn't have to take things out of my bathroom in my own apartment. It's because my roommate is too damn lazy to go to the store and buy the things he needs to live on a daily basis. Seriously, how much does shampoo and toothpaste cost?!? Hell, I am still a young person and I go home to see my parents quite often and my mom takes me shopping to buy such things if need be. I personally know this kid's parents and I know they are the same way, he is just too damn lazy. Its a touchy thing because I don't want to start something because we have only been living there since September and we get along well other than this crap going on, it is starting to drive me nut. It is the same with small food stuff too. Its no big deal if you want to share it, but tell me about it and even it up later! Don't just take it and expect me to replace it!

Maybe our roommates should live together! Then they would have no food in the house and no shampoo! :)

Just use up 90% of the bottle you have fill it up with piss and you're problem is over.

Or better yet, fill it with something that will screw up their hair like dye or whatever.

No kidding! It is just unreal to me that I have to wonder if the things I need are going to be there when I need them. Another exapmle. I bought a pizza the other night and I saved part of it to eat for leftovers. My roommate had a couple friends over the next night and I was tired and had to work so I went to sleep. It was a Monday night and I had a night class. I left class and I was hungry for my leftover pizza. I got home and two peices were gone. Now, I asked who did it and it was one of his buddies that ate it. I knwo the guys he had over, I am friends with them too. Had I been there and he asked to have a couple pieces, I would have said no problem. The fact that my roommate decided it was ok to give MY food away infuriated me. I should not have to come home and wonder if my things are going to be there or not.....unreal!

Oh, quit the whining over roommates.

If you think it's bad now, just wait until you have a wife and kids.

Ah the wife pet peeve. I can't tell you how many hair brushes my wife has in the bathroom, purse, car or bedroom. Apparently it's none. I know I've seen them around. I know she buys them. I don't know where they go. So, the brush that has been in "my" drawer for years is her fall back. I beg her not to use it. I ask her if she absolutely has to use it because she can't find any of the fifty she has then please clean it afterword. Well, I get out of the shower this morning and go to brush my beard and I have two pieces of 12 inch blonde hair hanging from my face. :chainsaw: :chainsaw:

To that you can add the following:

- "relocations" of tools that have been carefully organized in the garage
- "appropriation" of my razor...I've never used it in the tub, but hmm...there it is.
- "decimation" of the clean state of her vehicle...within three days of me detailing it, there appears to have been a bomb explosion in there.

You think finding blonde hair is annoying? Try living with a ginger. I find orange hair on my shirts all the time. :chainsaw:

Mine 'borrows' my electric to shave her legs while watching Dancing with the stars because she doesn't have time in the shower. The worst part is watching dancing with the stars.
