On this historic day in my life, I would like to take an opportunity to recognize a few people who made this day possible.

-Jupiter, for all your hard work on the site. It's a great community and it's certainly the best moderated board I've seen. Much appreciated.

-My employer, for not blocking any websites and for not wasting my web-surfing time by giving me any actual tasks to perform.

-The Gophers hockey team, without which this place wouldn't exist. Extra kudos for piling on the drama the past couple years so we all have plenty to talk about.

-Terry Ryan, Bill Smith, Carl Pohlad, Ron Gardenhire, Torii Hunter, Joe Mauer, Lew Ford and Juan Rincon for sucking, which forces me to vent on the Twins thread (where more than half of my posts end up). And thanks to Jason Kubel, Jason Bartlett, Matt Garza and Alexi Casilla for being infallible, making my defense of you guys a piece of cake.

Special thanks to all members I've had the pleasure of meeting (Frontroguy, Jupiter, Hoop, Viking and everyone I'm forgetting, as well as those who I barely remember from Duluth or Madison). Additional thanks to people I've bought tickets or memorabilia from and to those offering the bulk of recruiting and actual hockey information. I'd to thank all the GPLers I've gotten to know via Facebook for making it easy to stay connected to the Gophers from a distance, Jup for maintaining this wonderful website, my wife for tolerating this addiction and my employer for failing to crack down on non-business related internet use.
