The previous recruiting thread wandered off topic, so here's a new one for those who will start their careers next season. The early signing period is about a month away.

The only verbal commitment that is public knowledge so far is Bethany Brausen, a forward from Roseville. Brausen was named Player of the Year by the "Pioneer Press" last season.

Per the website of the Colorado Select U-19 team, forward Elizabeth Turgeon has verbally committed to Minnesota. The Select is the former team of Gopher junior forward Emily West. Turgeon is the daughter of retired NHL player Pierre Turgeon.

Wasn't directed at you. Have had many Sue fans tell me and post that Phil said he hated it here and couldn't wait to get out of here. Kind of interesting his sister chose to come here if Phil hated it, isn't it.

Outsatanding. I had not heard about Kessel. Many have said that Phil wasn't even the best player in the family reletive to his peer group...Amanda could be the real deal. There are some fantastic games coming up against UND's Lams.

The Gophersports story said that Kelly Terry's father was Bill Terry. A player that had a nice run at Michigan Tech and played briefly with the North Stars. I can't remember the guy.
