I don't think so.
I remember watching him play. He could really fire the puck. One of my favorites from the Glen Sonmor era.
Prayers go out to him and his family.

I thought Trent Klatt was from the Woog era?

I should have been more clear....he is high school class of 2009, meaning he's only 20 or 21 years old.

Isn't there a better place for former Gophers in the pros, like this?

However, he was a really, really nice guy and we talked hockey for a bit while I was at work, and I just wanted to see what his legacy was, if any.

How did he play with Lefty Smith at North Dakota?
Edit: Viking beat me to the link.

The link might make it clearer. Its actually a McNaughton, a National Title, a National Runner up, and a trophy noone can seem to identify.
If in the better picture you can't identify the former Gopher....someone needs to brush up on their history.

The Broadmoor Trophy replaced the WCHA league championship trophy after Michigan Tech and the MacNaughton Cup jumped to the CCHA in 1981. When Tech and the Cup came back in 1984, the Broadmoor became the WCHA tournament championship trophy.

I didn't even know they had one. Wisconsin was the only other good team the Big 10 had during Herbie's tenure here, though. I need a picture of Mariucci so I can find the Big10 Titles.![]()
What I find interesting is how similar the base and top of the trophy is to the Broadmoor. The middle is completely different, but both have nearly identical two-tier bases with the four players donning the corners. Both also have a similar player crowning the top. It makes me seriously wonder if this inspired the Broadmoor.

They won the Big Ten title in 74-75.

If Wisconsin-Madison is the state's most prestigious university and the state itself is known as The Dairy State, does that mean UW is Bovine University?

You're probably right. Only difference appears to be the players adorning the top and sides.

Yeah, but Cam Barker played in only 25 games this year (but not with the Wild...funny how that happened) and had a game winning goal, Leddy played 82 and didn't have a game winner. Who's the better player?
