If I'm Harbaugh, I tell Davis to leap into the stands next TD.

Any team can do the leap. It's just known as the Lambeau Leap because it is the Packers' trademark move.

And it's still a BS rule.

Lambeau leap is fine they just need to make the rule consistent. Time it so it doesn't take too long if that's the rationale for the rule.

A buddy (Packer fan) on my facebook status said only the Packers can do the leap. Although he says he doesn't necessarily agree with it if it is that way.

I was thinking the same thing. That pass rush is getting to everyone and Eli might have a field day picking apart that Patriots defense.

Out of the four potential Superbowls going into today, this is 3rd best--no better than 3rd because the Patriots are in it, but not the worst because the Giants had (have) the best chances of beating the Patriots. There was no way the 49ers would have beaten the Patriots.

If the Patriots win, I will vomit so much there will be the potential of drowning and/or aspiration.

What a joke is right. The Lambeau Leap is kinda creepy anyways. The way some of those Packer fans act in touching the players is pure creepy.

How is it creepy? :confused2:

Cash out your 401K's and bet every dollar you have on the Patriots to win the Superbowl. In addition to this little gem from last week, I also correctly predicted the Packers Superbowl victory in week 16 last year.

Honestly you weren't really wrong, they just lost in a one and done format after playing one craptacular game. For the saints it was the 5 turnovers that did them in. For the packers it was mostly Rodgers and Jennings being a bit off, drops, fumbles and playing like they did against the chiefs. With that defense you really can't afford to have a game like that offensively.

rowshkex wrote:There was no way the 49ers would have beaten the Patriots.

They're basically the same team as the Ravens and the Patriots should've lost that game.

I have to agree, it's going to be the Patriots this year. I really want the Giants to win though. I would love to see a repeat and see Brady skulk away to the dressing room after the game, twidling his long hair with his fingers, chewing on the ends.

The Giants are clearly the better team though. The Pats are more or less the same team as the packers and unless Tom Brady goes into F-U mode and plays perfect I don't see it happening.

You realize that there are like 4 guys that start for New England that were on that team right? Everybody wants to play this up as a revenge game and all that, but the only guys from that Super Bowl that matter are Tom Brady, Wes Welker, and Bill Belichek. IIRC, almost every single guy from their defense is new.

The Giants have more weapons on offense and a more physical defense, but the Patriots defense has been playing pretty good football the last two weeks and Tom Brady has proven to be as good as there is in a big game. Plus, I like Bill Belichek in a 1 game playoff.

I am surprised New England is favored by 3.5 points, but I would probably bet on New England.

One of which is basically the same team as the pats. The other was basically the same as the ravens. Not ruling out the pats by any means but the Giants have the best chance of exposing the pats flaws. Definitely moreso than the Ravens or the Broncos (and their O-line which clearly took sleeping pills before the game).

Don't we still have to pay the difference of the contract?
Meaning if he was being paid 4 million/year and Cleveland signed him for 1.2 million, we still have to pay him 2.8 million?

That's the impression I got from listening to PA talk about it a couple weeks ago.

The whole Manning saga is interesting to me. Is he even going to play next year? I think that's the biggest question, moreso than whether he goes to a different team. A neck fusion is pretty serious obviously.

It's perfect timing.
Coming off a questionable situation (just like McNabb and Favre), towards the end of his career (sound familiar?), we'll have to pay him a lot of money (although unlike the other 2 he's probably worth it).
It's deja vu all over again.

I said that Manning is dunzo for good at the beginning of the season, once he missed Week 1.

I still believe that, although I now think he'll retire because of risk, not actual injury. Small difference, yes. At first, I thought he wouldn't recover, but now I do think he's recovered, but he realizes the risks in playing again, and face it, he doesn't need the money, and he's not a dummy. He'll pull a Robert Smith, and retire while he's not in a wheelchair.
