I thought I saw the Gophers as either 8 or 8.5 point favorites.
Gophers also -320.
Remember the point of the Vegas line is to get equal betting on both sides. Bookmakers in Vegas have admitted in the past to raising the line on UNLV games when they knew a lot of visiting fans were going to come and put money on their team. I'm not saying they were expecting a huge influx of Gopher fans, but maybe 1 or 2 points can be attributed to this.
The biggest example of this in the last few years is when Wisconsin opened up at UNLV. Bookmakers said they moved the line up to 7 points higher because of the Wisconsin fans. The only reason I remember this is because Wisconsin didn't nearly cover the spread and the bookmakers were so proud of themselves for getting all their money.
A few vendors that I work with both at Target Field and the Dome are out in Vegas for the game and the weekend. They are placing some bets for me. I parlayed the following;
Bet #1:
Gophers (to cover) vs. UNLV
Michigan (to beat the spread) vs Alabama
Bet #2:
Northwestern (to cover) vs. Syracuse
Penn State (to cover) vs. Ohio
Clemson (to cover) vs. Auburn
No. Illinios (to beat the spread) vs. Iowa
Michigan State (to cover) Bosie St.
