Hi, my name is Dave Wilkie....and I am an addict. GPL started as a fun way to talk about Gopher hockey with other Gopher hockey fans but in the last year I have become addicted to GPL. I have over 500 posts (I believe) in the last 12 months, whereas I had less than 500 posts in the previous 2 years. GPL is part of my daily routine like brushing my teeth. Rather than giving up my addiction I am going to keep going on, it's too much to give up...I can't...I won't!!

1000 posts, it seems like yesterday when I stumbled onto this site when I first moved to Mankato. Since there is no support at home for Gopher hockey I turn to the fine individuals here to piss, :censored:

, moan, and cheer about Gopher hockey. 1000 down...1000's to go!!

On a side note, I quoted the part above because I related to it pretty well. I joined as soon as registration opened up after the 2007 Frozen Four... and from then until October '09 I was averaging about half a post per day. Since the lady friend moved out of state, I've been averaging about 4 posts a day. Thats a factor of 8 :shock:

Nice. Less than than three hundred to go and I am fully certified. I like how the PWI rules are pretty loosely enforced

It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders... the weight of having the same pitiful less-than-1000 number of posts as Lou Nanne. Now the next time I see him broadcasting the HS hockey tourney or talking about the Gopher program, I can smile inside just a little bit, knowing that my post count on GPL merits my opinions more worthy of weighty consideration and proper respect! :mrgreen:

I was surprised a few weeks ago when I noticed I was in the Top 15 and passed DHG to move up to #14 in the last couple of days. I'm probably not going to pass jamwall anytime soon, much less dx. And yet even I am single. :tears:

Is there some kind of support group?
